To our dearest supermom

Dawn abruptly woke up after hearing a loud ringing, she was sure it was her phone, she quickly reached for it beside her.

Basty's name keeps flashing on the screen as it continued ringing, it made her wonder why would he even call.

She knew their kids were just outside her room and enjoying their company.

"Yes, kuya Bash? What do you need?" She asks right away.

"Mama, get dress po!" Basty told him across the phone line.

"Mama, it's Hope, we left you something in there. See you and papa later, love you!"

"Wait? Where are you?"

"Secret!" The kids told her then ended the call.

Dawn quickly get off the bed to check on the kid's rooms but all were empty.

She head back to her room then immediately called her husband which didn't take long as he answered after couple of rings.

"Good Evening, love," Richard sweetly greeted. "Kids informed me that you fell asleep."

"Babe, where are you and the kids?"

"Basta, go get yourself ready love. I'm on my way home to fetch you."

"Okay, drive safely, babe," she finally gives in after thinking that kids might prepare something for her.

Anyway, they never miss one since before.

Dawn searched her room and found gift boxes on the table with letters attached to each one, she knew in an instant it was all from her kids.

She wouldn't lie that she had been expecting this, she always loves getting these letters from the kids.

"Hmm, let me see," she giggles and decided to check first the box wrapped in red wrapper and silver ribbon then reads the letter.

Dearest Mama Rachel,

I want to thank you on this very special day which is dedicated to all the supermoms of this world because you people are just inspirations for us. I aspire to be a woman like you because the standards that you have set for life are just what I feel I dreamt of. You being a working mother never made me feel alone in this house ever since when I'm a little girl.

You carved the best out of me and I feel that I am at my best today and it's only because of you because you believed in me when I couldn't and that's why today I feel I can fly high with my dreams.

You are my best friend and not only when it comes to relationships but also when it's about career, schools, and my aspirations. I look forward to you in all my happiness and sadness because you deal with both of them with elegance and grace and I definitely wish to do it the way you do.

Happy mothers day to the superwoman I know and stay with. I can't tell you how much I love you and will always be grateful for whatever you have done for us. Accept the token of love sent with this gift.
