chapter 19

Jasmin: it's done – she said giving a light smile

Aly: hmm – he said coming out of his dream land.

Jasmin: now you take some rest and lie down I will bring something for you to eat – she said arranging the first aid kit back in its place.

Aly: how will I lie down don't you remember my back shoulder is wounded !!!! – he said chuckling

Jasmin: lie down on your chest then it won't hurt

Jasmin helped Aly lie down comfortably on bed and left to make some food for him.

Jasmin's p.o.v

As I entered the kitchen and took out the chicken from the fridge and started chopping the vegetables. Chicken stew would help him feel better and its healthy too. I turned on the gas and started cooking soon my mind was clouded with his thoughts. He really is not that bad and now after what he has done for me I am starting to wonder if he is really bad at all. Only if I would have not misunderstood him, I am such a fool that I believed that fraud guy and fell for his trap. I should have understood that he is trying to create a misunderstanding between me and Aly. I should have listened to my heart then, he is caring towards me even he had married me forcefully but he never crossed the line. Maybe all these while I was misunderstanding him or let's say my mind was not accepting that a kidnapper can be good by heart. Anyways I brushed off my thoughts as the soup was ready I arranged everything in a tray and left for our room.

Jasmin kept the tray in the centre table and served a bowl of soup and kept it on the bedside table and helped Aly to sit up in the bed. She adjusted some pillows behind him so that he feels comfortable.

Jasmin: have this you will feel better – she said forwarding the soup bowl.

Aly held the bowl with his right hand but was struggling to grab the spoon as his left was all bandaged and he was feeling pain whenever he was trying to hold the spoon.

Jasmin: wait!!! Let me help you – she said taking back the bowl in her hand and she took a spoon of soup and blew some air gently from her mouth to cool the soup and forwarded the spoon towards him.

Aly: it's tasty – he said taking a sip.

Jasmin just smiled and forwarded another spoon of the soup.

Aly: can I ask you something?

Jasmin: yes

Aly: why were you marrying Arijit? – he asked seriously

Jasmin: what? – she asked confused

Aly: tell me , why were you marrying him

Jasmin: because he is my best friend and I know him from childhood – she said forwarding another spoon of the soup.

Aly: so you loved him? – he asked curiously

Jasmin: no – she said softly looking down towards the soup bowl

Aly: then why did you agree to marry him? Just best he is your best friend? – he asked while chewing the vegetables.

Jasmin: do you want some more soup? – she asked trying to change the topic.

Aly: answer me first

Jasmin: now it doesn't matter anymore..... I am.....I am your wife now – she said slowly

Aly: it matters to me .... So now tell me – he yelled being frustrated

Jasmin: he proposed me...... . – she said loudly

Aly: and you said yes!!!! – he asked chuckling

Jasmin: no !!!! I said no and I rejected him proposal....

Aly: then ??

Jasmin: but my dad.... My dad fell sick and requested me to get married to Arijit, first I denied but then dad told that its his only last wish and seeing my dad in that condition I had to agree for that marriage – she said everything in one go

Aly: you get manipulated so easily – he muttered

Jasmin: did you say something?

Aly: no , I am full by the way and the soup was really good – he said trying to change the topic

Jasmin: it's my special chicken soup – she said smiling widely

Aly: did you eat anything?

Jasmin: I will later on

Aly: have the rest of the soup, no more excuses

Jasmin: first have this medicine – she said forwarding a tablet.

Aly: I will have my medicine only when you finish your soup

Jasmin: OK fine – she frowned

Aly gulped the medicine and In the mean time Jasmin finished her soup.

They rest of the day went on quiet normally.....

Next day,

Aly woke up late and freshened up and went downstairs where he saw Jasmin almost ready with the breakfast. Aly sits to have breakfast when the doorbell rings and Rosey comes with a parcel in hind

Rosey: sir, this parcel has come for you – she said handling the parcel to Aly

Aly: for me – he asked puzzle.

As he unwrapped the parcel a big envelop opened and when he tried opening the envelop by mistake some papers and a few photographs fell on the floor. Aly and Jasmin both looked down.

Jasmin: I will get them – she started collecting all the papers and photographs.

She turned the photographs and she froze at first she wasn't sure of what she saw ..... she again examined the photograph and her eyes popped.

Jasmin: what the hell!!!! – she screamed out of disbelieve
