Tonight, the breezes blew much cooler, stars glowed much brighter, Siddharth feels as he enters the venue looking stunning as ever in his blue and white three-piece tuxedo. He reaches the seating arena and sits on a seat that bore his name on it, i.e, in the first row.
The massive stage looks dazzling with all the lights. Though social gatherings are never his thing, these award functions are always a must to attend especially when he is a nominee and that is often.
Many awards are honored and received. Time passed by and one of his friends and the function's host, Arjun Bijlani catches his ears when he took a name for the best debut female "Shehnaaz Kaur Gill". As he takes that name, a pretty girl seemingly in her mid-twenties adorns the stage. And she grabs his gaze. She is bewitching in that traditional Punjabi suit. Her brilliant smile adds light to the stage. Her words, as sweet as honey. He is intrigued by her. And she bags five more awards like best debut director and beautiful voice and smiles etcetera. Siddharth is completely enthralled with her versatility by now.
After a dance performance, the host announces nominees to the best actor male and Siddharth's name is among them. His name is being hollered and cheered at. And undoubtedly he wins the award and ascends the stage.
His favorite actress Madhuri Dixit is already there to present him the award but his gaze is stuck somewhere in the fifth row in the seating arena as he finds a girl who's whistling and cheering for him, a girl who bagged 6 golden petal awards on her debut itself.
Shehnaaz is so delighted to see her admired actor win and couldn't stop herself from cheering for him. But what she also couldn't stop was his intense staring at her for 115 seconds. Currently, she is so embarrassed with herself for controlling her excitement especially when she knew that he recognizes her. ( She saw him clapping when she received her awards, each one of them.)
