Lottie's face was bruised and her arms seemed broken. The whole group was in the car, Percy driving it, on the way to the nearest hospital. Everyone was looking at her, pained and tensed. Her face seemed pale and her rosy pink lips were overcome with a deep purple. Jamie had her in his arms, holding her safely next to his chest. "She's going to be ok," reminded Lola, who was sitting next to Binah in the back seat.
"We don't know that," Jamie muttered, everyone could tell he was broken-hearted, especially after his confession earlier, but somehow he was still pursuing a strong act. His hand was spreading blood across her arm; it hurt but not as much as the thought of Lottie dying. They were 5 minutes away from the hospital, the rest of the ride was driven in silence. Ellie was clutching Lottie's hand, preying for her survival, tears in her dark eyes; she couldn't lose her.

"Emergency! 16 year old female, blonde, was poisoned and possibly beaten up," Jamie informed the emergency crew. They fled for a stretcher and a doctor, taking notes along the way. After a few moments, the doctor arrived with a chart."Isn't that the princess of Maradova?" They were in a hospital room, Lottie was still unconscious and looking as if she were going to die in seconds.
"OH MY GOSH THIS GIRL IS DYING CAN'T YOU SEE?! YOU'RE HER DOCTOR NOT PAPARAZZI, DO SOMETHING!" Ellie screeched at him with all her might. He looked at her and furrowed his brows. Jamie stood silently in the corner of the room, clutching his hand over his mouth as he watched the doctor inform them on her treatment.
"This poison is quite rare, it may be hard to treat her but she will have to go into surgery seeing as her arm has been broken,"
"When can you schedule the surgery?" Binah asked, her eyes also watering at the very second.
The doctor checked his golden watch "I can operate on her now if you'd like,"
Everyone agreed at this comment, they watched as nurses rolled Lottie out of the hospital room. Her skin as pale as paper, blonde hair being the only source of colour on her body. "Wait," Jamie said, walking towards the hospital bed where Lottie's motionless body laid. He pulled out a silver chain, a wolf's head attached to it and placed it round her neck. It was the pendent Ingrid had stolen from Lottie, he had retrieved it before leaving. It took moments before Ellie realised, he was also wearing his. Jamie was gently stroking her pale skin.
He kissed her forehead gently "You can't leave me,"
He nodded to the nurses as a sign that they could leave the room. His fist was in a white cast, Lola clasped her hands over her mouth, sobbing more than anyone in the room. Anastacia and Saskia squeezed each other's hand; Micky and Percy did the same. Ellie looked numbed at the thought of losing her best friend while Raphael and Binah exchanged horrified looks. Jamie dropped down onto a small sofa next to where Lottie was, trembling in fear.
What if she didn't survive?
