"Piss off! You're not running away with me, I don't even know you. You could be a creep!" She shouted. But then she covered her mouth after realizing there was still other people around. I'm not a creep, but I'm not exactly safe either.
"Yes but please, I can't go home, not anymore" I pleaded. I tried doing that thing puppies do. You know, that eye thing. It must've worked because she finally agreed.
"Ok fine. I'm leaving right now though. So let's go" she said pushing in her seat. She slammed the door shut behind us. Wow she was feisty.
I followed her like a lost puppy. She walked around the town for a while. I was tired I'd been walking all day.
"I'm tired can we stop now" I asked dragging my feet. It's cold as well, I'm not staying out here all night.
"And where are we going to stop? We can't go book a hotel can we? Not yet anyway" she sighed. This girl was rude. But at least it'll give me a challenge. Then again, I didn't want a challenge.
"Do you have any money?" I wondered. I hope she has because I've not got a single penny on me.
"Not much, I've got about fifty quid, stole it from some random lady's purse" she shrugged. Well fifty pounds will do for a while. Maybe a day, day and a half if we're lucky. Then again though. She was trying to spend it on cake a minute ago.
"Who are you running from again?" I asked still trying to walk alongside her.
"I thought I told you I'm running from home" she replied.
"You've got parents?" I asked again.
"For fuck sake is this a police report? No, I've not got parents I live in one of them orphan things you slowcoach" she said nudging me out the way.
"Your parents gave you away?" I said, she was speed walking now. I'm tired. I need a break I'm too unhealthy for this.
"When I was a baby, they had too many people to look after so thought it'd be best to give me away to another family. I've been to multiple families now, next year I'll be allowed to legally leave" she said still speed walking down the streets.
"But why are you running away? You might as well wait another year?" I suggested.
"I hate it there. The workers treat me like shit" she answered.
I just looked at her. Then she stopped. Quickly turning to me she had a shocked face.
"What..." I said nervously.
"I've got an idea" she sparked.
"Ok what is your idea?" I questioned. I hope it's not something stupid.
"Let's call a taxi, that way we have shelter and we can sleep" she said clapping her hands.
"Um ok, do you have a phone?" I waited for her to reach into her pocket and pull one out.
"No I don't but I have money so we'll use a phone box like in the olden days" she said scanning the street for a phone box. Then she spotted one and ran up to it. The olden days? She's like a five year old. I watched as she dialed the number. Speaking, whilst twiddling the wire around her fingers. Then she called me over so obviously I obeyed and followed her, again.
