Stopping - Luis

Okay. Today is the day I am going to teach my boyfriend Luis Mendoza how to stop. "Do we have to?" he groans. "Yep, " I say as we skate out onto the ice. I grab his handed pull him along. I show him how to do his feet when he stops. He tries to skate a few feet then stop. He fails. "It's okay. You'll get it, " I say encouragingly. He rolls his eyes but tries again. He tries this for a while. We sit down so he can have a water break. " You are getting closer each time, " I say. He tries again. He almost stopped. This went on for hours. Finally, I stand in front of him. "If you love me, you won't hit me, " I say crossing my arms. He skates towards me at a pretty decent pace. He gets closer and I brace for impact, but it never comes. I open my eyes to reveal a smiling Luis standing in front of me. "Yes!" I scream. I kiss him and hug him. He skates around for a while and he stops every time he wants to. We skate for while and then we go home. I cuddle up to him that night while he messages the team about him learning to stop. "Thank you so much for helping me today. I love you, " he says. "You're welcome. I love you more, " I reply as I fall into a deep sleep.
