The new agent was welcomed into Overwatch with open arms. She kept an eye out and around for anyone she could talk to for help. She ran into two men who seemed like they had somewhere to be. One was younger, around her age. The other was older and seemed like he could be this boy's father.
Reyes glanced back at this confused woman and stopped. Cassidy stopped with him, knowing what would happen if he walked away. He had to wait. He glared at the woman and didn't seem too fond of her.
"Name?" Reyes asked her, curious on who she was. "Angela Ziegler. I am learning my way around this base. I may have missed a turn." He rolled his eyes. "I asked for your name, not your story." He did this with everyone new who came up with excuses. "Names only tell so much. There's a reason I'm right here." He grinned. "I like that answer." He glanced over to see an angry and pissy cowboy. "You two should talk. It doesn't seem like you know where you're supposed to be or in a hurry. If you wouldn't mind. Just don't let him leave while I take a call." She thought for a moment. "Do what you need." She smiled. Reyes gave thanks and walked not too far away.
"Do you have a name?" She was trying to be polite. Without a response, Angela took the silence as a no. Cassidy really wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone, especially after the fact he was dragged from where he was because of a small mistake. "Is this not a good time? We don't have to talk if you don't want to." She awkwardly smiled and he glared at her. "You don't have a clue on who I am, do ya?" The thick accent seemed to be covered a bit by his anger. "I'm afraid I don't." Progress. Not the nicest first impression, but he spoke. He spoke once at least. He really was not a fan of having Angela talking to him. He just wanted to get this day done and over with. "I don't think you want to know." He mumbled and stared her down. She heard only a few words of what he said and understood. A silence filled between them. She examined what she could on his arm. A tattoo laid on his arm. She wanted to know what it was but was afraid to ask. "We both know he ain't taking a call. He's testing you." He sighed. "Stupid old man thinks he can drop me with a stranger and think I'll accept this. No offense, but you're not the most exciting stranger to talk to." She didn't know how to respond. "Im... sorry?" She didn't know what to say, or if she should say anything at all. "Why are you here in Overwatch?" He was curious on if she was actually interesting. "I am developing nanotechnology to help heal wounds and potentially bring people back to life." He knew about the first part but didn't believe the whole bringing back the dead thing. "Sure. And I've proposed to a woman named Cheryl. Nobody can bring back the dead. It's impossible." She grinned a small bit. "I am on the track of figuring it out. The universe right now is what it is in the mind. Things that seem impossible are impossible to anyone who doesn't know the science behind what is being done. Right now isn't the best time to explain it. I can talk about that for hours without repeating any points already made." She sighed. "You don't seem too fond of being here with that man. Why are you here?" She asked. He was still trying to comprehend what he was told about her technology. He shook it off and shrugged. "I was put into jail for something illegal. They can't touch me anymore for what I've done. Reyes knew I had skill and picked me up. I'd show you what he picked me up for but there's no targets here." She was clearly uneasy by hearing the vague phrase 'something illegal'. "You heard of the Deadlock Rebels?" She shook her head. "I'm afraid not." He raised an eyebrow. Everyone he was spoken to has said they know who that gang is. "American gang. We stole and sold anything of value. Weapons, supplies, whatever we needed to sell. Hell, sometimes bots. They ain't a gang to mess with." She was confused. "Is that what your tattoo represents?" He glanced down at his arm and covered his tattoo. "That's none of your business." She quietly apologized. "That's enough about my past, tell me about you. Someone who is developing a cure for death has to have an interesting story." She chuckled at what he called her nanotech. "I wouldn't call it a 'cure for death' but you'll be surprised. Nothing really happened in my life. I've always wanted to do something to save people and that's where I am now." She didn't want to tell a complete stranger about her past. "There ain't no way someone like that could just do that without something happening. There's just no way." She smiled and shrugged. He caught onto her hiding it. He was interested in her. She was mysterious and kept anything personal to herself. He wanted to know her, being open about who he was to someone who didn't know.
Silence fell between them and Angela sighed. "I should be going." She wanted to break the silence and not let it happen again. "Yeah." He avoided looking at her. She started away and Reyes watched her leave. "She seems interesting." He grinned over at the cowboy. "Whatever old man. I don't need your tests to talk to people." Reyes put a hand on his chest in offense. "I am not old. I'm a few years older than you." He thought about his words and had to ask. "How old are you?" Cassidy glared at the older man. "Younger than you think."
