"Hey Angela, what really happened in your past? I want to know you but if you don't want to tell me, I'm fine without knowing." Cole was curious. "I suppose it's better to hear it from me since it's my past. Take a seat." Angela recommended and he did. "Everything was pretty normal. My parents were doctors who vowed to help anyone and everyone they could. It was fine until they were called to help at a hospital to heal soldiers who fought in the war. I lived in fear everyday they wouldn't return and that fear came true that one day. They could be gone for weeks or months, nobody could say. I waited as I normally do with the Lindholms occasionally coming to check on me. I thought they couldn't get in when there was a knock on the door so I opened it and I got the news. An officer explained what happened and I slammed the door shut on them. I didn't want to believe it. Even if it was a sick joke, it hurt." She wiped her eyes. "And it still does." She took a moment to relax and calm herself enough to stop crying. He took her hand that laid on the table and rubbed it with his thumb. "I'm sorry. You don't have to continue if you want want to." She sighed. "It's fine. I... can continue." Another deep breath and she was able to clear her throat to talk. "I act like it doesn't hurt to tell this story but I always end up crying." She smiled. "I took time to collect myself with people telling me 'the pain will get better' and 'everything will be fine' but I can't think of any of this in this detail without feeling some emotional pain. When I was no longer mourning as I was before, I moved on to my studies. I found the way my technology could exist and started working. And I'm here now." She hesitated. "Any questions?" She was calm enough to answer questions. "You don't want to harm a living being but I'd assume you want revenge over the ones who caused you this pain?" She nodded. "I will not harm another living being unless it was for a good reason. But I do want revenge. Who wouldn't." He sighed. "Nobody here knows about what happened, or is it a known thing?" He wanted to know. "Well Torbjörn was there for me so he knows. Commander Morrison wanted to know if there is any problems with me so I told him about it, but he doesn't know the whole story. He might know most of it, but not from my perspective. Nobody else but you and them know." He sighed. "Im sorry for your losses and asking about it. I don't want to sound rude in any way, but I'm glad you're here." She smiled. "Thank you, but there is no need to apologize. Could I know about you? I haven't heard anything from anyone and I'm curious on where this mysterious cowboy came from."
Cassidy grinned. "I'm not really a mystery. I grew up on a farm and jumped from job to job. I got into a fight with other farm kids and I got caught. Sheriff put me in jail for a fight I didn't start but quickly ended with one look at a pistol. I didn't shoot them, just pulled it to make them back off. Sheriff took that. I met Ashe in that cell. We got along quick and both were bailed out the next day. She grew up with a rich family and I was released because they realized it wasn't my fault. I got fired from my job and Ashe got her family to pick me up. She wanted to start crimes against her family and I wanted in. We created deadlock from the ground and kept building with our heists. Our first heist was getting that gun back, successfully. One heist almost got us killed in an explosion. We kept doing these heists and I knew it was stupid. I didn't like them after about a month of 'em. They got dangerous and almost getting blown up doesn't help. Give us another month and Overwatch found out about deadlock. We were taken into custody but not without a fight. I shot at the agents approaching me, hitting spots that would not prove to be a critical area. They saw I didn't miss knew what I was doing. I didn't resist them taking me. Reyes decided to take me for how I acted and now I'm here." He grinned. "I asked you questions, what about you? Any questions for me?" She thought for a moment. "Do you regret leaving deadlock?" He raised an eyebrow. "That's a hard question to answer. I was part of the reason we got caught. I heard of Overwatch and decided to give a little tip to anyone who was interested. I can't show my face to anyone who was in deadlock anymore or they would try to kill me. But they were my family so I can't say I don't regret it." She gave an apologetic look. "It's nothing to worry about." He awkwardly laughed. "How long ago did you join Overwatch... Blackwatch?" She wanted to know. "Couple months ago. You joined three months and six days after I did." She noted he kept those days in his mind. "That felt good to tell someone who was interested what happened. Thank you, Cole." She smiled. "It's no problem at all. I just like to know you can trust me with telling me what happened." She nodded. Silence fell between them. "Are you busy at the moment?" She asked. "I will be in a few hours. Why?" He was confused. "I need help designing a weapon. You know how guns work and I don't know exactly what they need." He raised an eyebrow. "You're building a gun... from scratch, without knowing anything about it?" She nodded. "I have an idea of how the bullets would work, I'm just not sure on how a gun works." He sighed. "Building one without knowledge on them would take a while. I'll help with what you need, only 'cause I like guns."
