"You first." The cowboy challenged. He wanted to see her strength for himself. He didn't get to see any but she knew where to hit a training bag, he just wanted to know how much force she can put into her hits. She was mad but didn't want to hurt him in any way. "Come on." He was waiting for her to go for him. "Fine then." He realized she wasn't going to. He popped his neck and cracked his knuckles. She didn't know how to react. This was just a one second decision and she wasn't a fan. He threw a punch towards her and she ducked down. She didn't want to fight so seeming like she doesn't know what she's doing may make him lose interest. He kicked at her side gently, trying to get something from her. She only put her arms out to block him. "Why must you pretend. We both know you aren't that helpless." He rolled his eyes. She looked up at him. "I don't want to fight a real person." He laughed. "I doubt you'll be able to do any actual harm. Only bruises and marks. You won't hurt me." She still looked uneasy. "Just help me out here. He should be back soon and I'd rather not be yelled at for moving." He spoke lowly and quietly. She thought for a moment. "You must help me with whatever I need at any time I need if I do this for you." She wanted to make a deal. She wanted something in her end. "Fine." He agreed.
Angela gently punched him and he raised an eyebrow. "Come on, you don't have anything to be afraid of. I won't be hurt." She put more force into her next punch and he grinned. She actually started using force, no strength but this was progress. She started getting into this 'fake' fight when she realized how good it felt to attack something living. He started his own fight against her, dodging any attacks she threw and countering with his own. She aimed to hit his cheek, a successful hit. That punch had all of her strength in it. He grunted and she stopped. "I'm fine. I just wasn't expecting you to actually put all of your strength into that." He didn't want to tell her the truth. He would rather have this moment. She decided to not attack above his chest again. She felt terrible for that much force and strength in one spot. She had slowly been moving in with her attacks being dodged and blocked. This was the test. He didn't want to harm her, now only blocking and dodging her attacks. He didn't move in any direction to see what she would do. Her movements towards him only made it easier to dodge her attacks. This was to ensure she wouldn't harm him. Getting too close would make it harder for her to hurt him.
Angela didn't realize how close she had actually got until she was able to see every detail on his face. She took advantage of this situation by pushing herself against him. A slight distraction to find an opening. She could only use her peripheral vision for him to not notice what she was doing. He let her do what she was planning. He had slowly been taking control of her arms as she moved her leg. He held both of her wrists in one of his hands and pushed her away, causing her to lose balance. His grip was the only thing keeping her steady until she got her footing right. Neither of them had the intention to hurt the other. She looked into his eyes and gave up. She brought herself to her knees and he let her go. "What am I doing? I'm supposed to help people, not bring them harm." She looked up at the cowboy. "I'm sorry. For everything I've done today." He sighed. "I shouldnt've shot at you. You don't have to apologize for my faults." He put a hand out to help her up. She took it and gave thanks. "We can always start over." He suggested. "That won't get rid of the guilt. We can try but I can't just forget what happened." He raised an eyebrow. "I physically fought you. I punched you in the cheek. You said you didn't expect it and that's it but I know it had to hurt." He shook his head. "You did nothing wrong." He grinned. "I was testing your strength and power. I expected every bit to be hard so I would have braced for any attack thrown at me. You'll learn to tell my tests from my seriousness at some point. I just don't know when I'll stop doing them." She glared at him. "I would appreciate no tests. That is what got us here." She pointed out. He sighed. "Fine. I'll do everything I can to not have my tests effect how we actually meet. Don't worry pumpkin." She took a deep breath. "Do not call me pumpkin. You don't know me if you think you can call me what you want. For you and everyone else, it's Angela or Doctor Ziegler." He wanted to test the waters. "And if I call you something else?" She looked at what he was wearing. "I'll take that gun from your hip and shoot two bullets into that stupid face of yours." He raised an eyebrow. "I don't think you have the guts. You could barely keep up a fight in hand to hand combat. Bullets can do some serious damage." He taunted. She hesitated and looked away. "I believe your commander is waiting. You keep looking up into that window." He knew his test was done. "You really don't like me, do you?" She shook her head. "We'll fine then. I'll be out. You seem... a little bit mad." He walked away. She was going to speak but didn't let anything out.
Cole left the practice range to see his commander waiting. "You need to stop your tests. She clearly isn't interested in them." He spoke. Cole rolled his eyes. "You really can't listen to authority, can you?" No response of any kind. "I'm not mad, you did apologize." He was aware any voices could be heard in that room for safety reasons. "You are free to go around." He walked away at what he was told.
