That time anxiety helped me get friends [Edited]

Genya's pov

Today a new kid had came into our class. Usually that barely happens since this is a private school in the mountains, you would need specific search terms just to find and register into this school. The only reason me and my brother found this school was because we just managed to stumble upon it while walking through the mountain forest's. Tamayo-sensei had told the new kid to sit beside me. (finally a friend for my bby Genya) He set his bag down and sat in the chair next to me. I looked over to him and he seemed nervous and was fidgeting a lot. I was kinda upset at the thought that he might've been scared to sit by me, since even children cry at the sight of me. After Tamayo-sensei introduced herself to the new kid, she announced that she'll be giving a free period for today, in order to get Zenitsu to be more comfortable in this new class. So at that moment I decided to talk to him. "Hey uhm- Zenitsu, was it?" I asked him. "Y-yea.." he replied slowly. "My name's Genya Shinazugawa, I was wondering if you wanted to be friends?"

Zenitsu's pov

"My name's Genya Shinazugawa, I was wondering if you wanted to be friends?" F-friends?? He said he wanted to be friends? Wow, I've never been able to get a friend that quickly in a new school before- "A-are you sure?" I asked stuttering. "Of course, why else would I ask?" he replied. "S- sure, i-if you really want to.." I replied. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but at first sight his presence and aura kinda scared me. He had big scars on his face and a solid and serious looking expression. But after I accepted his friend request he started talking about food and his expression immediately turned soft. I felt like he was actually a really nice person despite his appearance. "Do you want me to introduce my friends at the back? I'm sure they'd love to be friends as well." Genya said. I thought I was about to cry but I held it in. "Why not." I said less anxious, now being comfortable with him. (Genzen anyone?) He then got up from his seat and took me with him to the back of the class where the other students were. "Yo Monjiro, it's Scar-butt and the new kid." a boy with a- boar mask? said to the red head boy beside him.

Tanjiro's pov

"Yo Monjiro, it's Scar-butt and the new kid." Inosuke said to me. "For the last time it's GENYA!" Genya exclaimed furiously. "Bro I really couldn't care less what your name is" Inosuke said in annoyance. I just sighed. Inosuke always had a problem pronouncing people's names, tho he seems to perfectly remember his own name- I looked over to Zenitsu, the new kid. He was kinda just peeking from behind Genya. He looked kinda shy, so I decided to confront him. "Hey, Zenitsu, are you alright?" I asked. The question seemed to have made him flinch a bit, but he then answered. "Yea I'm fine.." he said quietly. I smiled. "Well, my name is Tanjiro Kamado. A pleasure to meet you." "Thanks." he replied. I was about to introduce the others when Inosuke interrupted. "Oi, the name's Inosuke Hashibira and I'm the king of this class, just so you know Pikachu." "Inosuke! That's not how you're supposed to introduce yourself!" I exclaimed. "I apologize for my friend here, Zenitsu." Zenitsu just looked confused. "Anyways.. I'll introduce you to everyone else here." I said. "You already know Genya and Inosuke, so this is my little sister, Nezuko Kamado." Nezuko waved at Zenitsu and he waved back mouthing the words 'Hi'. "The one with with the side ponytail is Kanao Tsuyuri and beside her is Aoi Kanzaki." Aoi and Kanao smiled at Zenitsu. Ok well, only Kanao smiled. Aoi gave him a stern look and just nodded. "And that guy over there is Murata." "It's nice to meet you all" Zenitsu said. "it's our pleasure. Would you like to hang out with us during lunch?" I asked him. "Sure, why not. Though I would have to ask my brother first, if that's not a problem." he replied. "Not a problem at all! We'll give you a school tour during lunch" I said. "Thank you-" he said with his eyes widen.
