George decided to ring Karl and ask him for advice on his clothing situation. Although, what other option was there apart from to cancel the date?
—
George frantically pressed the call button on his phone. He waited impatiently as it rang. And rang. And rang.
"Hey! What's up?" Karl said cheerfully.
"WHATS UP? WHATS UP IS THAT I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR FOR THE DOUBLE DATE WHICH IS IN LESS THAN AN HOUR!" George screamed, worriedly."Woah. Chill George. If you need too, you can come my house and borrow an outfit of mine." Karl replied.
"ARE YOU JOKING? I DON'T WANT ONE OF YOUR GRANDPA SWEATERS!" George screeched, clearly stressed.
"CALM DOWN! It's only a date. Fine, you don't deserve one of my grandpa sweaters anyway! Asshole. Anyways, what about your father? Isn't he trying to get on your good side? Ask him for some clothes." Karl suggested.
"Hm. That sounds alright. Thanks Karl, I'll go ask my father. Bye." George said while nodding.George hung up the phone and then went downstairs to see his father. He was sitting there, on the couch, watching TV.
"Father. I need a favour." George said while awkwardly standing there.
"Sure. Anything." Derek smiled as he switched off the tv and stood up, facing George.
"Have you got a spare outfit? I'm going to a date tonight and I have nothing to wear." George said, smiling awkwardly.
"Ooo! Who's the lucky girl?" Derek said, trying to be supportive.Although, he didn't know that George was into guys. He had no idea George was going on a date with another man today. And George didn't know whether he should tell him.
"D-Dad..." George said, slowly taking a step backwards.
"Son? What's wrong?" Derek said, looking at George.
"Dad... I'm going on a date with... another male. I'm gay, father." George admitted while looking down at the floor. He could feel a tear dripping from his eye, he tried to blink it back. But it didn't work."George. You are my own flesh and blood. I will always support you." Derek smiled as he placed a hand on George's shoulder.
"Father..." George started tearing up. But, they were tears of happiness and relief. They both exchanged smiles. George was starting to think that his fathers return was a good thing.
"Now stop crying. You have a date to get to, kiddo!" Derek laughed.
"Right, right!" George giggled as he wiped his eyes and blinked away the tears.George and his father both went to Derek's room. They both searched the closet desperately. It took awhile, but they finally found a good looking outfit. It was: black baggy jeans, sage-green shirt with black and white vans. It was very attractive and very stylish. Finally, George could relax and forget about his wardrobe issue.
George went into his room and began putting on the clothes. After changing, he looked into the mirror and loved the outcome. He looked great. He felt so relaxed. Well... that was until he checked the time, he gasped and shoved his phone into his pocket and ran out the door.
He decided to text Karl, since he didn't know the directions to the treehouse.
GeorgeNotFound
Yoyoyo bro. Where is the treehouse? Just left my house rn and realised I don't know where the fuck I'm going.
He typed out as he crossed the road. He stood there, still. Since he didn't know where to go, he just waited desperately for a reply.
*ping*
There goes George's phone. Thank goodness, Karl had replied.Karl
From the park go up to the Kinkylin Road and from that take a left up Analstreet and then look right. There will be a big field, and the treehouse is there.
George read the message and rolled his eyes. He was so confused, Karl was the worst person at giving directions. But, George only had 20 minutes till he had to be there. So, he began running down the street hopelessly. After 15 minutes of jogging, sweating and walking, George had finally come across the treehouse. There was a very wobbly, broken ladder which led up to the crooked, abandoned treehouse. George expected something a little more.. Taken care off... but, as long as Clay was there.
