As always, make a stencil so your piñata is symmetrical.

Use paper cups of plastic. Tape them down or use glue
I recently had to tape together plastic shot glasses, because I was out of regular sized cups.🤷🏻♀️
You can also use toiletpaper rolls, or cardboard (checkout my sloth).

If you're tying zipties, wire, rope to you piñata at the top... make sure you add support!
Here, I cut plastic strips from soda bottles, folded them in half, & stapled them where the holes go. Cut the hole through the plastic & the foamboard.
I usually use foamboard, but you can use cardboard.

Mom got me various gold tissues & foil.
They're kinda slippery, & tend to rip if you're not careful,so make sure you take your time.
Give yourself time to test out your glues.

My mom thought I could just easily wrap long strips.
I thought that was a quick trip to messy town.
So I cut one of the gold tissues into reasonably sized strips that wrapped halfway around.
(Had I more time, I probably would have done a 2nd layer of that tissue or sprayed the piñata gold first before adding the tissue. 🤷🏻♀️)

Anyway, I carefully cut those ovals out of that plastic-y foil that so easily sipped & ripped. (Make sure your scissors are sharp)
Mom says I should have made the whole horseshoe out of that foil... No, nope. Too hard. I would give up.
The flowers were last minute add that made all the difference.
