This is my brother Luis. Pic is from 1987, I think. I am 6yrs younger than him, so I definitely didn't not make this piñata.
That said, I'm hoping to post old photos of piñatas we've had as examples of what can be done.

This piñata definitely does not look like Optimus Prime from Transformers, but it does something interesting, it uses a fluffy material as the outside covering. It looks like cotton/polyester batting, the kind of stuff folks use during the holidays as snow, or they wrap furniture, or fill quilts with.

I'm assuming they then used a spray gun to paint the color. I don't know why they used this technique on a robot, but you can imagine how great this would look on an animal shape, or a snowman, Santa's beard, cotton candy, etc.
