The sun shines brightly for Ambrose as soon as he wakes up for the first time. With his mind still fuzzy, he slowly gets off the bed not noticing any changes.
"Oh you are awake?" A man's voice startled him. He whips his head to his right and sees a man with blue coat and white top.
Ambrose registers his surroundings. The huge room is the biggest room he was ever in and the huge bed is enough for 5 of his roommates to sleep in.
But where are his friends?
"Who are you?" Ambrose's eyes grows sharp. Growing up in orphanage with the abusive caretaker has made him a careful and spiteful to every strangers he meets.
"Calm down. I'm your doctor. You can call me Henry, nice to meet you." Henry smiles looking at Ambrose. He looks so much like a kitty with its claws out right now wanting to look scary but it only makes him look cuter.
"Doctor? Where's my friends?" Ambrose doesn't let his guard down, he wants to see his friends in this confusing situation.
Suddenly the door opens and a cute voice shouts his name.
"AMBROSE! You are fine!" Celestina wakes up and the first thing she did this morning is to look for Ambrose but Ginny didn't let her do that and instead got her ready first before letting her out.
"Celestina!" Ambrose is dumbfounded by the hug Celestina gives him. His cheeks reddened and the tips of his ears are tomato-red. The doctor watching them from the side chuckles in delight at the cute kids hugging each other.
"Now then, let's get you ready." Henry brings Ambrose to his bed now that he isn't wary of him. He does some checkups to make sure the little boy has recovered.
"You are better now but you are very malnourished. Your immune system is very weak so you have to eat this pill every day after you eat your breakfast. Do you understand?" Henry holds a small glass bottle filled with dark green pills and Ambrose nods at his words.
Suddenly a growl is heard, Henry and Ambrose looks at Celestina who holds her stomach in embarrassment.
"Let's have our breakfast?" She asks them both.
"Let's go" Henry replies while Ambrose simply nods, his mind still taking in what's going on.
He follows Celestina into a room with super beautiful table and chairs. The servants by the door comes forward to pull the chairs for the kids.
"Sit here Ambrose!" Celestina is oblivious to his thoughts. She has grown used to this after the dinner yesterday and it isn't that hard to take this in her mind when something unbelievable like transmigration into a book just happens to her two days ago.
After Ambrose sits well in the chair, the servers brings in mashed potatoes with some tasty looking soup that Ambrose doesn't recognize and there's also a plate of green vegetables.
"Your bodies aren't used to receiving heavy meals yet so I asked the chef to prepare some nutritious light meals that will fill you both. Enjoy" Henry says when he sees the confusion in Ambrose's face, he thinks that Ambrose is thinking that the food isn't enough when it is the opposite of that.
"Where's others?" Ambrose asks softly to Celestina.
"They're in somewhere safe. Louise will bring you there to meet them. Have your breakfast first." Francisco who just enters the room hears the question from Ambrose and answers him as he sits down.
"You... who are you?" Ambrose grows wary again, he meets too much strangers today.
"Eat first Ambrose, I'll explain it all to you after this." Seeing the confusion in Ambrose face, Celestina sighs inward.
'How can I be so stupid? He wakes up in a strange place and nothing is told to him. I should have told him everything just now.'
Ambrose trusts Celestina who he has known for all his life. He slowly picks up his spoon and eats the delicious potatoes. The more he eats, the hungrier he gets and before he realizes it, his plate is empty, even the bowl of soup has disappear into his stomach.
"Would you like to have more?" A maid by his side notices his empty plate and softly offers to refill his plate. Ambrose who is surprised by the delicious and savory food immediately nods. He needs to eat a lot now in case they don't give him any food later.
The maid takes his plate and replaced it with a new plate filled with the familiar dishes. Ambrose eats it with vigor and after he's done, his belly goes up like a ballon. He touches his stomach in awe and looks at Celestina beside him.
"Full?" Celestina asks him. She notices how he savored every dot of the food and how his face lights up when the maid offers him refill.
"Very." Ambrose replies to her in delight.
Francisco who is done eating stands up and says.
"Do you want to meet your friends now? Louise will bring you there. Let's go." Both of them nod their head and follow him.
Outside, Ambrose looks with awe at the garden that is carefully maintained by the experts.
"It's so amazing isn't it?"
Ambrose nods slightly with his mouth agape. The waterfall in the middle of the garden is so breathtaking and the little birds flying around makes him wants to run around them.
Celestina holds his hand and pulls him to a carriage.
"Let's go now, we can play here later."
The journey takes about 30 minutes and while in the carriage, Celestina excitedly explains everything that went through a day ago. After hearing her explanation, Ambrose thinks of the scary looking man and promise to himself to say thank you to him later. When they finally arrives at the new place Francisco has given the other kids to stay in, Helia, George, Felisha, Emily, Josh and the other 12 children come and hug Celestina and Ambrose.
"Ambrose you are finally okay!" Says Helia, the former Helia who is pale and sickly thin is now having a healthy glow but she's still very skinny.
Ambrose smiles at his friends' eagerness and he hugs them in the same eagerness.
He almost tears up when he sees his friends all being so happy. Although in the orphanage all of them were happy but they were also scared of Ms. Vivi, but now they don't have to do that anymore.
They don't have to get up early because they're scared of Ms. Vivi, they don't have to eat the food that she gives and they don't have to starve when she's mad.
Those thoughts make Ambrose finally cries. Celestina looks at him and understands his thoughts. She hugs him warmly and whispers "We are fine now Ambrose."
