"Louise, tell me about your findings."

The morning is bright and sunny. Louise wakes up refreshed and ready to carry out his master's orders but why is master suddenly asking about a little orphan girl?

Louise observes the girl for a day.

The girl sneaks into the orphanage through a back door and goes into a small room that's filled with 5 other children.

She then shushes all the children when they shout in her return.

She feeds the medicine to the sick child laying with obvious pale complexion and hard breathing. She then took a wet fabric and lay it onto the boy's forehead.

"Go to sleep, there's 1 hour left." She said to the other kids.

The children obey her and go to their own respective beds but she doesn't move. She bends down and whispers some words to the boy then she pats his head and sits by his side.

This goes on until the door opens and a lady comes and yells at the children for not waking up in time. The children move as fast as they can and get ready.

They are scared or her. Louise understands the children, after all if it wasn't for his master, he would have been stuck in that living hell for many more years.

He watches again, then a scene surprises him. The lady pulls the sick boy's hand and forces him to get up but the young girl stops her and got slap instead.

His master is interested in this young girl, he must report this immediately.

And that's how Louise ends up in his master's office telling him about an orphan girl.

His master's face grows worse the more he says. Then his master stands up and asks him to call a servant, his master is staying in a small mansion in the capital for awhile so he doesn't bring many servants, and while his master is talking to the servant, Louise goes and gets the carriage ready.

Louise brings his master to 'Hope orphanage' which was about 2 hours aways from the mansion. He doesn't know what his master and the servant talked about but after his master came out, the servant ran as if he's chased by a ghost.

"Master, we've arrived" The duke opened the door by himself and stared disgustingly at the pity-state of the orphanage. The orphanage is dirty and the roof has empty holes and the door of the orphanage is barely hanging.

"Let's get in. Louise, go find the responsible person." Louise bows his head slightly and opens the door. He then lets the duke in and goes to the office of the responsible person while the duke wanders around the orphanage.

"Come on! It's Friday today! We got candies!" He hears a child shouting excitedly from the end of the hall. A child then runs out of one of the many rooms in the dark hall.

"Candies!" The child jumps while he runs.

"Shhhh! Quiet down, Ms. Vivi will get mad." A girl follows behind him and reprimands him even though her face is filled with excitement too.

"Okay" The boy slows down and walks beside the girl docilely.

"Duke, nice to meet you." A shrill voice says from behind him.

"I'm Vivi, the person responsible for this orphanage. How can I help you today? Would you like to meet the kids?" Ms. Vivi says all that in one breath and bows while saying that making her look like a fool.

Louise has hard time trying to stop his laugh from coming out, especially since he have seen how she treated the kids in this house. He sneaks a look on his master. His master looks like he's about to put the woman in jail.

"There's a sick kid here. Bring me to him." Duke Francisco says without looking at the disgusting woman.

"Sick child? You mean Ambrose? But he's sick, it's not good for you to be around him. I'll bring you to other kids instead." She says with confidence but she doesn't realize the darkening expression of the duke.

"You dare to order me around?" Francisco eyes grow sharp at her words. He looks at the woman in her green dress and jewels that definitely could help the state of the orphanage.

"I- I'll bring you to him. This way please." Ms. Vivi's heart stops at the duke's words. The duke is known for his brutality and his evilness, anyone who dares to defy him will meet an unfortunate ending.

The door opens when Celestina tidies her bed. She sees the tall man standing behind Ms. Vivi.

'Duke Ashdown? Why is he here? I mean... I have changed the storyline but this is way too different.'

Celestina stares at the duke and the duke stares at her but that moment is broken by the shouts of Ms. Vivi who panics when Celestina stares at the duke so brazenly. Celestina wakes and her eyes travels to the man behind the duke. Dark skin, amber eyes, the only one person describes in the novel with that appearance is Louise, the duke's trusted man who he saves from an abusing parents. Louise was killed by the male lead when he was caught spying on the female lead by the order or the villain, the duke's oldest son, Matthew Ross Ashdown.

"Stop it." He stops Ms. Vivi and walks to Celestina.

He has to bows down and Celestina has to looks up due to her height. Her neck starts to hurt.

"Hi, we meet again mister." Celestina presents her best smile to him.

'Perhaps he'll like me if I'm sweet?'

"En."
