"So, as I said. I knew your birthday would come at some point" He said as he raised from his position on the couch.

"huh?"

He smirks and walks to his office. I curiously follow him as he started opening a safe with his fingerprint

"Of course you have that" I comment

He chuckles as he takes a red velvet box out of it.

I frown and come closer "What is that?"

"I had this planned for a while, but I didn't know when to give it to you" he explains as he holds the box closed "I was, in fact, going to give you this on your birthday and I wanted it to be perfect, but I didn't expect it to be yesterday"

"Why didn't you just ask when my birthday was then?"

"That ruins the whole surprise!"

I shake my head and giggle "it doesn't"

He admires my excitement and smiles with his lips closed to just enjoy this moment.

Me being the impatient person I am "open it!"

"Okay, okay" he opens the box, revealing a stunning necklace

a "Woah" escaped my lips as my eyes got bigger.

He holds it up to show it better.

The necklace is in the shape of a sun, but there is a shining blue stone in its middle.

"why is it blue?" I ask

"you don't like the colour?" He asks insecurely

"No, no. I do! Just-"

"The diamond was found in 1940 in South Africa"

"Wha-"

"It was bought from Joseph Lau, who is one of the richest millionaires in Hong Kong. He and I always just meet up as friends whenever I'm there and he told me he wanted to get rid of it" he explains

I just nod, acting like I exactly know what's going on

"It's pretty heavy, though," I say holding it

"It's 12.03 carats"

"sounds like a lot" I whisper

"It is, but your worth it so it doesn't matter" he looks down

I smile and hand him the necklace. He confusing looks at me as I turn around and hold my hair up

I sit on his desk to come closer to his height. "It's perfect" I whisper

"The blue diamond, you see it right?" He asks.

I eagerly nod and hold it close to my chest. He holds up his hand, trying to show me something. "Look," He says pointing at his ring finger.

I hold his hand and look at the silver-coloured ring around his finger. "Is that a moon?" I ask

"Yes, a moon with a sun diamond"

my mouth shapes into an O form as I realize how thoughtful this is.

"The diamond is called 'The Yellow Sun Diamond'" He explains as he rests his hands on my thighs

I nod "so what's the story behind yours then?"

He laughs and shakes his head "David Bennett. He was the original owner. That's all I know. I bought this at an auction in Las Vegas."

"You sneaky" I joke

I tilt my head to the side a bit and look at him. How did I get so lucky to have such a thoughtful man.

"You okay?" He recalls me back to the presence and smiles "Yes, I'm fine..... thank you"

I look down at my chest again where the sun is shining "You're so creative"

"I know right?" He says proudly of himself

"In my ring, there's a moon with a sun diamond....."

"....and in my necklace there's a sun with a moon diamond"

I smile and cup his face into my hands "you're so goddam cute"

"I didn't wanna make it too cheesy-" he chuckles

"No, I love it"

I'm back in class after the weekend ended. I and Jaden talked a lot. We watched some old movies I like and we ordered some of my favourite food.

But now we have to get our normal back together. Once I graduate I get to have the rich mob's wife live, but not yet, just not yet.

After my English class, we went to the cafeteria and sat down with some friends

"Maya, why have you been so off lately," Larray asks

"I literally haven't" She rolls her eyes

"It's just that you not have been eating lunch with us or ever come to hang with us the last few days, maybe weeks" Avani explains

"I don't have all my time free for you guys okay?" She snaps

"I get that, but you can at least just text us or gives us a call," I say

She gives us a weird, but short giggle "No, I don't Kiara"

"can you drop the attitude?" I ask frowning

She seems surprised by my tone

She gives me a warning look, but it only confused me "What?" I say slamming my soda can on the table

"Kia, why don't you just go crying by your sugar daddy if you can't handle my attitude," she says dead serious

I widen my eyes and look at her "Maya!"

"What? We all see you leave in an expensive car every day. Don't act like this is new for you"

"Maya you know he's just my boyfriend," I say through my teeth

"Sure, Kiara. A rich guy who's four years older than you. Just your boyfriend" She lets the whole cafeteria know

"Maya stop it!" Larray now says standing up

"Oh, but it's fine Kia. I get it, with your mom and all the money problems you guys must have" she says sarcastically as she cares.

I wanna grab that bitch by her hair and yank those fake ass eyelashes from her face, but Emma holds my wrist and keeps me on my seat

I look at her with a 'what the fuck' look and try to wriggle it out of her pace

"Kiara, not this way" She says calm
