Dearest angels (my readers),
Eunoia, after lots of editing and republishing, is officially completed. Throughout the journey, I learnt a lot about myself - or, well, about the version of me who wrote all of this two or three years ago. I had a fun time subdividing all the poems into different categories, making sense out of the chaos I had created and searching for gifs or making aesthetic banners for this book. I created this book with the hope to accept the not-so-beautiful parts of my writing journey, so I hope whoever reads this learns to accept themselves or their art the way I tried to achieve here.
I started in 2019 or 2020 and completed it in September 2021. That's more than one year of arranging my mess of words. I would have given up somewhere in between if it was not for you all, my readers. Your encouragement and appreciation make me want to come back here. Even if only one person reads all of this, that makes me feel happy. If I was able to touch you with the help of my words, then that makes me feel important.
Writing should not be just about the pieces we are proud of. It also includes the writings we write only for fun, or to pass the time, and then consider them to be trash. Trust me, they are not trash. Everything we write or create is connected to us - to how we think and how we see the world. Even if you cannot take pride in your art at the moment, or publish it somewhere, keep it with you. Store them all in a place - maybe a secret corner of your room or a folder in your laptop. They will tell you how far you have come. They will let you know how much you have grown. They are valuable and definitely not something we should be ashamed of.
It is not easy to adore all that we create but we can always try. Eunoia is all about that and I hope that I was able to achieve something out of this. Now, it is a kaleidoscope of my memories of when I was in the eighth, ninth and tenth standards. Currently, I am in my eleventh standard, in the middle of the pandemic, and my maths class of Complex Numbers just got over. After years, when I come back here to read how my past self used to think, I hope I will be proud of her... or, well, have a good laugh at her stupidity maybe (lol). This book definitely has a big part of my teenage life and I am happy that I have recorded it.
Lastly, I would like to thank you for completing this book with me. One of the best parts about writing and publishing is definitely connecting with the readers. So, if you have any thoughts, anything you'd like to say, about this book, my poems, or me, you can always do so in the comments or private messages. Trust me, I love each one of you and appreciate you all just the same. This book is complete because of you and for you. I hope you will like to join me for my future adventures and their books as well. Maybe next time, we can visit a fantasy world through poetry, or something dark and mysterious, together. Wherever we may go and whatever I may write about, as long as I have you all around, I am sure I will be happy about it.
Thank you, once again, for being such an important and happy part of my life.
Love,
SweetSimu.to constellations, sunflowers, and dandelion wine,
i hope to see you on the other side of the world, my angels."Heaven is Holy!"
