à mère nature

// querencia //
(n.) a place from which one's strength is
drawn, where one feels at home;
the place where you are your most
authentic self.

from the beginning of my writing journey, my words have had a close connection with nature. from the first story i ever wrote to my recent poem, nature has always been there to give me infinite questions about life, human emotions and reality. these questions make me seek answers that help me to discover myself and what i truly want in life. i have always seen nature to be "right". it is not evil to me, even when it destroys everything. it brings out the patient and loving side of me the most. this section contains all the poems/quotes that i came up with when i felt the closest to nature. these thoughts somehow always linger in the back of my head. that's why i always adore nature at a spiritual level, for what she does for me. this is my "thank you" to the mother who has seen all shades of me and still continues to inspire me to be better.

nature's first green is gold,
her hardest hue to hold.
her early leaf's a flower;
but only so an hour.
then leaf subsides to leaf.
so eden sank to grief,
so dawn goes down to day,
nothing gold can stay.
