Winter never understood why she should stay on this planet.
Why each day felt difficult and how repetitive it got.
How lonesome walking to places such as school felt.
How she did not have a favorite color nor flower.
She felt no need to look both ways on the street.
Nothing was important to her.
She just wanted the pond in her mind to go dry.
The pond had no life around it.
All her thoughts or emotions held under the water's surface.
The pond's unmoving surface appeared blank yet inky reflecting the sky above.
Soon a boy with a yo-yo in his hand smiled towards winter.
The warmth of his smile and voice making her yearn to hear it more and more
All of sudden the same yo-yo eventually made its way on the pond's shore.
Then a river began to form in her pond that started running in an ocean that brought out her inner emotions.
Some say that river never stays while a pond on the other hand will always be just a pond unless a great change occurs to it.
Now her inky pond was a vibrant blue ocean the ran across all the corners of her mind.
Her days became less repetitive but instead of more out of her control.
Petals began to rise above onto the crashing waves.
Pale pink roses, Her favorite color, and flower in one beautiful form of art.
The stormy clouds faded allowing a beaming sun to hit the lushes green fields to grow.
Baby blue skies were stretching towards all the horizons of her mind.
Winter has started to walk to school with the boy.
But whenever she was alone walking,
She would look both ways before crossing the road.
