Chapter 12: Why Not?

Jannie’s POV:

It was Wednesday one of my favorite days the week even though it is a weekday but I don’t care because today xFactor is on! But sad part is I still had about another hour until the show started and I already finished all my homework as fast as I can so I can watch xFactor. Well besides two pages, but I can copy that off someone. So I decide to just go down stairs and hang out with my mom and dad.

“Hi mom! Hi dad!” I said to my mom who was in the kitchen and to my dad while I jumped onto the couch next to them.

“How was school?” my dad asked.

“Same old same old.” I replied

“Finish all your homework already?” my dad asked.

“Mostly just two more pages but I don’t want to do them.” I said being honest. Why lie? It’s just my dad it’s not like he’ll care.

“Jannie! You better go do those two pages!” my mom said obviously not liking the fact I did not complete all my homework.

“Mom relax I have a friend who did it I am going to copy of her tomorrow during lunch.” I said.

“No wh-“ my mom began to say before she got cut off by my dad.

“Martha it is not even a big deal as long as she turns it in complete who cares when she did. Don’t act like you never did it. I did it on a daily basis in high school.” My dad said being truthful while he started chuckling remembering high school days.

“So Jannie you’re going to the baseball game Friday right? Who’s all going?” my dad asked. Great he is going to get so mad from how many boys will be going. Well I guess it will not be as bad since Kenny is not going. Who am I kidding my dad is going to change his mind.

“John, Alyssa, Michael, Drew, Keaton, Wesley and John” I said repeating John twice because my dad trusts me with John so much. It’s like he is my personal body guard to me and my parents love it.

“Who are Drew, Keaton and Wesley. Is Michael the one who likes you or is that a different boy?” my dad asked. I guess repeating John’s name twice was not much of an effect.

“Carl you know xFactor the show Jannie makes us watch every week and always talks about those three boys that she loves so much?” my mom telling my dad. Yes, now my mom is on my side.

“Yeah, what about them?” my dad asked while looking behind him in the kitchen to look at my mom.

“Well Drew, Keaton and Wesley are those boys you are asking about John found them at Disneyland the day they went and they became friends and planned it out.” My mom reassuring my dad.

“Okay so them three are okay only because John is there and Alyssa I know her. Now who is this Michael again?” my dad asked.

“He is some boy at my school that has been wanting to go on a date with me and I would always tell him no. But decide I would give him a chance by having him come along with us the Dodger game instead going on a date with him alone.” I told my dad he actually seemed happy that I did not care on having a single date instead of hanging out. It really is not a date. It’s just all hanging.

“Okay, sounds good. Martha I am going to go to the store would like anything?” my dad asked my mom while getting off the couch.

“No thanks!” my mom said.

“Jannie the food is ready you can put some if you’d like I am going to go take a shower.” My mother told me as she went upstairs.

Then my phone buzzed it was a text from Michael.
