The Wendigo (Mina Ashido x OC)

Chapter 7

After the two new lovers thoroughly rinsed out their mouths with mouthwash, they got dressed. Mina grabbed her bag which contained her towel, bikini, and her bottle of sunscreen while Yushedo grabbed his phone and his wallet.

He wore a white t shirt with a black zip-up jacket to cover his neck, a pair of blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

She wore a pair of jean shirts stopping just above the knee, a purple shirt with the word "pink" written on it in pink, and a pair of flip flops.

They walked outside of his room, still smiling to themselves over what had just happened. That smile quickly faded, however, when they passed by his older brother's room.

"Wasn't this door closed earlier?" Mina asked Yushedo as they walked by it.

"I'm pretty sure..."

They kept walking and got to the top of the stairs. Yushedo's eyes widened.

At the very bottom of the staircase leaning against the railing was his older brother, Suyedo. He was smirking up at the teens as he slowly began walking up the stairs.

"And you told me I was loud..." Suyedo snarked. He saw the looks on the teens' faces as they realized that he heard what just happened. He patted Yushedo on the shoulder. "Don't worry, dumbass. I'm not telling Mom or Dad. I am putting a buncha condoms under your pillow though."

And with that, he walked off to his room and closed it, leaving a slightly relieved but still embarrassed couple at the top of the stairs.

"Your brother seems nice..." Mina said as they began descending the stairs.

Yushedo nodded.

"When he's not angry about being shorter than me, he's pretty chill."

The two made their way outside and began walking to the restaurant Yushedo mentioned earlier, Mina allowing him to take the lead since he knew where it was.

As they walked side by side, Mina's hand found itself interlocking its fingers with Yushedo's. They smiled at each other and kept walking.

After a little while of silence, Mina broke it.

"So is this like our first date?" She asked nonchalantly. She began swinging her arm, causing Yushedo's to be swung with it.

He smiled at her antics.

"Yeah. That's what it's looking like."

She smiled and began humming a random tune to herself as the two walked along the sidewalk.

Ten minutes later, they made it to the restaurant. They both sat down and a waitress promptly handed them a couple of menus. They took a few minutes before ordering their food and drinks. As they waited, they engaged in conversation.

"Mina, I just realized something..."

"What's that?"

"We don't know each other's birthdays yet."

"Oh my gosh, you're totally right! I can't believe we did what we did and didn't even talk about birthdays!"

"Y-yeah. It's kinda odd. Anyways, when is your birthday?"

"July 30th! And yours?"

"May 20th."

"Really? That's only a couple of weeks away! Now that I'm your cute girlfriend and not just your cute friend, I'll have to get you something extra special." She said with a wink.

"And what do you mean by that?" He asked her.

She just laughed.

The waitress came back with their food and drinks. They ate together, Mina periodically taking some of his food and teasing him about it. When she snagged his last bite, she quickly gave him a kiss that seemed to put him at ease.
