"Time of death: 22:43"
"She lost too much blood, the tumor ruptured, she was a time bomb. There wasn't much we could do for her, I'm sorry." Amelia said to Arizona. She still can't believe it. The closest thing she had to a friend in Seattle has died. Arizona was alone again.
Arizona didn't take a second to grieve. She went straight into her work, Herman had transferred all her patients to Arizona beforehand, thankfully.
After a seven hour surgery, Arizona's leg was hurting. Wearing a prosthetic leg is rough. She went to the on call room to relax a bit.
She laid down on the bed, and after just a few moments, reality set in. She was alone.
"I'll give myself five minutes to grieve, just five minutes" Arizona said to herself. She started to cry gently, careful to not make too much sound.
All of a sudden, the door opened. And of course, of all the people who could walk in, it was Calliope.
"Woah. Sorry I'll find a different room" Callie said, noticing the blonde hair. Arizona looked up a split second, showing her tear stained eyes. Callie noticed, and cannot stand seeing the woman she loves in pain.
"Hey hey hey what's wrong?" Callie said, moving toward to sit beside Arizona.
"No no, you don't have to do this." Arizona said, looking away from the deep chocolate eyes.
Callie sat beside Arizona, with space between them.
"Please stop looking at me like a wounded animal, I am fine." Arizona said, more coldly than she intended.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound so rude. I'm sorry." She spilled out.
Callie looked at Arizona, and put her arm around her. Both women missed each other so so much.
"We can't do this, it doesn't work. We tried so so hard." Arizona said, sobbing.
"You need a friend. And I think we can be friends, if you wanted."
