*POV is back to Nicky*
"You have breast cancer too!?" I ask kind of loudly.
"Shhh, don't be so loud. And yes, I do. And I am so sorry I didn't make it to your game. Did you win?" Katie asks Nick.
"No don't you dare apologize for being in the hospital because of your illness instead of coming to a silly little basketball game. Yea we won, and Tony came up to me after to congratulate me. lol he gave me a fist bump, winked, then said. 'good game, cya round. nick.' he is cool, but confusing." I told Katie.
"ooooh he likeeee youuu!" Katie says in a weird tone, raising up and down her eyebrows, and winking at me. which made me crack up. and I smiled a lot and she noticed me blushing when she said that then smiled. When we were laughing.
*Katie moans, and groans, as she tightly grips her ribs*
"KATIE?! what's wrong?! are you ok?! Let me get the doctor!" I exclaim as I run to grab the nearest doctor around to help Katie.
"Hi Katie, How are you feeling? I see you are in pain, can you tell me what hurts, or how bad it hurts?" The doctor sweetly asks explains to Katie.
"my- my- ribss- they-ah-hurt really bad-eeeeahhh." Katie struggles to tell the doctor.
"you must be Katie's best friend forever I have heard lots about you. Well I am Katie's doctor, I'm glad you grabbed me in the halls. Can I have you either wait in here, and see if you can find Katie's mother? I think she is tin the food court. I am going to take Katie into the X-ray room, to find out what's wrong." Doc says as I run to search For Katie's Mother.
I found her sleeping on on of the couches near the food court, I had to wake her, and you could tell she was up all night. We ran back up to Katie's room. waiting. and waiting. and some more waiting. until finally the Doctor came in with answers.
"Katie is not doing too well, beside her having Breast cancer, and Leukemia, Katie is currently experiencing.. well it is not going to be the easiest to say, nor hear, but she is experiencing a blood clot, as well as heart problems, her heart beat is not making the correct rhythm. I am so sorry, as well as that, she may not be able to attend school for about a month." The doc says as Katie's mother and I start crying.
The Doctor brought Katie back in, she didn't look too good. Poor Katie! I hate seeing her like this.
Katie noticed me crying, "Are you crying? Nooooo don't cry, I'm ok. I'm sorry if I scared you. don't cry because of me. ok? please don't. BE HAPPY NICKKKKKKK! don't worry be happy." Katie says, then starts singing the don't worry be happy song. we both started laughing.
She laid back down on her bed, and I sat on her bed with her.
"pinkie promise I will not let you be along, go thru anything alone, and I will never leave you." I pinkie promise to Katie.
"I pinkie promise too, and that I will never stop being there for you. well when I can at least." Katie promises back.
We started to cry together, slow little tears falling from our eyes, like shooting stars on galaxy skies, as we leaned our heads together.
