Laying on his bed zayd stare at the rotating ceiling fan, it's been 2weeks since Amirah promised to visit him in the hospital which she didn't show up and ever since then her phone has been switch off, zayd doesn't know what to do. Sometimes he think forgetting Amirah is the best option for him but anytime he try to put the short period of time they spend together the memories just keep popping into his head, his mum was the only person he was able to tell her about Amira which she just say some emotional words that add up to his helpless selfish.

"Sallam.
Can i come in?"sooraj ask standing by the door, zayd node and sit upright with a sigh.

"Good evening."zayd say tiredly and sooraj humm.

The two sit in silent, sooraj isn't very good at conversation he really wants to be there for every one of his siblings but he's a very terrible comforter.

"Soo,
What is it that you don't want to share with anyone?
Is it about that Amira girl?"sooraj ask and zayd chuckle.

"Ofcrse mum will tell you,
Yes, Amira is going to make me go insane one of this days."zayd say and sooraj node.

"You are already insane.
Do you want me to help you,
Maybe my boys will find her."sooraj say and zayd smile.

"Ofcrse,
I just want to see her and maybe she could tell me why she's doing all this to me, I want to marry her."zayd say with a facepalm.

"Maybe she has her reasons for avoiding you, send me a picture of hers so i can forward it maybe my boys will find something about her."sooraj say, zayd quickly forward the picture and sooraj send it to one of his boys who promise to get back to him by tomorrow morning.

"Heard Dad wants you to marry Khair soon."zayd say and sooraj shrug.

"I don't always listen to dad anyway,
Sorry i know you think Khair is an awesome person but seriously i don't love her and i don't think i will ever do, she's too rude and arrogant."sooraj say and zayd smile.

"She's charming when you get to know her, there's nothing bad in trying."zayd say and sooraj psst.

"I'll pass on that,
Will be going to Kabul very soon."sooraj say with a sigh he haven't tell any of his family members he doesn't know how his mum will react yet.

"Afghanistan!
When?"zayd ask staring at his elder brother worried.

"It's still far thou,
In 6 months time faisal is also going I'm worried about hanan."sooraj say with a sigh, going to Afghanistan with faisal now Married to his sister is not something he will be thrill about but he knows how important this is for him.

"Yeah.
How long are you both staying?"zayd ask and sooraj sigh.

"Seriously.
I don't know yet but 8months maybe a year max it all vary on how the system change."sooraj say and zayd node.

"Do you have to go there,
Why not somewhere in the country that you can visit home anytime maybe go to maiduguri, Afghanistan is.....I don't know but alot of shit happened there it's like every military nightmare."zayd say and sooraj chuckle.

"It doesn't matter, this really mean a lot to me I'm getting another promotion if I  come back."sooraj say excited.

"And if you didn't come back?"zayd say and sooraj shrug.

"I will come back
Doesn't matter how long i will stay but i will come back, it's all about survival."sooraj say and zayd smile.

"Courageous indeed.
Maybe dad is right it's better you marry before you leave maybe your wife will be pregnant and before you come back your child is all grown up."zayd say and Sooraj roll his eyes in boredom.

"Whatever.
I will call it a goodnight,
Gat this really serious meeting to attend tomorrow."sooraj say standing up.

"3 wonderful stressful long surgeries to conduct tomorrow."zayd say as a yawn escape his mouth.

"Goodnight.
Dream about Amira lover boy."sooraj say and zayd chuckle.

"Dream of Khair and all the amazing things she will do to you."zayd yell as his brother shut the door making him to start laughing.

The creaking of the cutleries is the only sound that echo around the YABO household, with everyone married the house is usually quiet and bored without the twins.
Alhaji umar look at Khair who's eating her food without a care he glance at falak who is almost done eating and his gaze roam back to his son who's staring at falak with his untouched plate of breakfast.
He clear his throat making everyone attension turn to him.

"Khair.
Sooraj is coming to see you today in the evening."he say making Khair to look at him with her mouth open.

"Sooraj Bilal?
Why?"she ask curiously.

"Well his dad wants him to marry soon and i think it's best if you two get to know each other before we decide on the date."he say and Khair just stare at him speechless.

"How can you two make such decision without khairs consent, she has equal rights as him, what if she's not ready?"hajiya nabila shirp in and her husband sigh muttering that's exactly why he didn't tell her.

"Ofcrse she do and we didn't say they are getting marry right away that's why sooraj is coming so they could get to know each other, stop complicating things nabila."he grumble and turn to Khair who's still speechless about the whole situation.

"Khair.
Do you have anything to say?"he ask with a smile making her to shake her head in denial.

"No daddy.
Allah zaban mana mafi alkhairi."she. Say making him to smile.

"Ameen khair.
May almighty bless you."he say and she mutter an ameen.

Once everyone finish there breakfast marwan and his dad head for work,
Khair head upstairs to start getting ready for work with a lot of thoughts on why sooraj want to see her today in her mind.
