Our backs were pressed together; Hidan’s bare skin against my own flesh. In my hurry last night, I’d forgotten to get pyjamas, and I’d opted for sleeping in my underwear. What I hadn’t counted on, however, that Hidan had gone against his word and stayed the night- sleeping alongside me in bed.

Staring at the blank wall in front of me, my eye twitched. “Hidan,” I hissed, to which I got a harsh kick in response. Holding in my complaint, I rolled onto the floor, hitting the carpet with a dull thud. “Hidan, get up.” The white haired man stirred in his sleep, only to roll towards me. I opened my mouth to try once more, before stopping myself.

Squatting to his level, I took in his features. They weren’t tensed, for once, and he actually looked quite handsome without his usual scowl and furrowed eyebrows. Even more so since he was actually silent, unlike when he was conscious. His snow white hair blended with the pillow, and fanned out around his head. There were, however, stubborn strands that refused to co-operate, and hung over his face. Hidan’s hair, when it wasn’t slicked back, seemed to just breach jaw length.

He was, actually, quite the looker.

Suddenly, Hidan’s eyes shot open. Magenta eyes bore into mine as my mind went blank, for I couldn’t register a reaction straight away. Finally, my body toppled backwards, and I scrambled away. Hidan propped himself up on one arm, exposing his bare chest, which seemed to be perfectly sculptured, I noted. Smirking, the man chuckled.

“I was going to wait until you were finished staring at me to get up, but I figured that’d take too long.” So, he’d been awake from the very start. With a scowl, I rose, forgetting about my attire.

“You need to leave, like, right now!” Right on cue, there was a knock on my door. My eyes became saucers, and Hidan jumped up out of bed. Trying not to let my eyes roam lower than necessary- seeing as he had abandoned his pants along with his shirt- I hurried him to get dressed.

“Who’s that?” Hidan hissed, pulling on his cloak, while I picked up his discarded shirt and pants.

“Kazushi,” With that answer, I shooed him away, “Come back next week or something, just go!” With one last scowl, Hidan disappeared, seemingly into thin air, although I knew he’d merely used his ninja speed to give that illusion.

“Courage?”

“Coming!” I called, hurrying to pull on a dress and smooth down my hair. Finally, I pulled open the front door, smiling nervously. “H-Hey, Kazushi! You’re early!”

“Actually,” Kazushi looked at his wrist, where he wore a small watch. “You’re two hours late.” His hazel eyes flickered to me, “I even went and had a coffee while I waited,” The corners of his mouth twitched down at the edges for a second, “I thought you’d forgotten about me…” I hastily shook my head, feeling guilty.

“No! No! Not at all! I just woke up, that’s all-!” Upon seeing the disappointment on his face, I’d realised what I’d confessed.

“Oh…”

“No! It’s not like that!” Sighing, I knew the damage had been done. “Sorry…” Kazushi laughed a little, scratching the back of his head.

“It’s fine. So, should we get going?” Putting on my brightest smile, I linked my arm in his, and marched out of the house.

“So,” I asked, once we were at my previously owned house. “How’d you manage to find me amongst the forest?” Kazushi grunted, picking up one end of a sofa.

“Quick, grab the other end!” He ordered, his voice coming out in pants. So, I was at the other side in an instant, curling my fingers under the sofa and hoisting it up with all my strength. “I’ve got some friend’s outside that’ll help us.” He grunted, before beginning to guide both of us out of the house.
