Chapter 4

It was Monday morning and Danielle was trying to focus on her work but all she could think about was Stefania sat in her office and what happened on Friday. It was just before lunch and Danielle decided to go and talk to Stefania, she told Noah to hold all her calls until after lunch. 

Danielle headed upstairs and stood outside Stefania's office, she took a few deep breaths and knocked on the door. "come in." When Danielle walked in Stefania was looking at her computer, she looked up from her computer as Danielle closed the door behind her. "Oh Danielle, erm I am kind of busy do you need something?" "yes, you. We need to talk." Stefania stood up "I can't right now" she walked over towards the door, she went to open it, but Danielle stopped her and pushed it shut. Stefania kept her back turned away from Danielle, she stared at the door "Danielle, please stop. what are you doing." "Stefania, look at me. What is going on?" Stefania finally looked back at Danielle "Danielle, I'm not gay." Danielle and Stefania stood staring at each other for a few minutes "look, I'll go, I'm sorry."

Danielle walked past Stefania, Stefania turned around and grabbed Danielle's hand. Danielle turned and looked into Stefania's eyes. The chemistry was too much, Stefania crashed her lips against Danielle's and pushed her against the door. They both moaned into the kiss, Stefania grabbed Danielle's face and pushed her tongue out, which Danielle accepted, they both deepened the kiss. Stefania broke the kiss and put her forehead against Danielle's "you confuse me, Danielle." Danielle put her hand under Stefania's chin and lifted her face up, so they were looking into each other's eyes "Stefania, you confuse me too". Stefania took a step back, never stopping eye contact. "Miss. Spampinato I'm going to go now; I have a meeting, but I will see you later."

Stefania and Danielle continued with their day both replaying the kiss in their heads. Danielle questioning everything. Danielle rang her friend Jaina to talk about the situation.

J - "Hey Dan, you okay?"

D – "erm, I'm not too sure."

J – "What's up?"

D – "Jai, I don't think I can work alongside her, every time I'm in a room with her they chemistry is way too much, I just want to kiss her or touch her every time I'm in the same room as her but she isn't gay so this isn't going to work out well for me in the end".

J – "Why don't you just quit and take the job you got offered last week? It's better hours and better pay?"

D – "Yeah, I will think about it".

Danielle ended the call and continued with her day of work. Danielle had an hour left and had finished her work for the day, she decided to research the job offer and see if it would be worth taking. Danielle decided to write out her letter of resignation just in case she decided to take the job offer. Danielle headed to the printer room to get the letter of resignation.

Danielle walked into the printer room she stopped in the doorway when she saw Stefania in there. Stefania turned around holding a piece of paper and she did not look happy. "What is this, Danielle?" Stefania was holding Danielle's letter of resignation. "erm it's nothing, don't worry about it." Danielle went to take it from Stefania. "Well, I do need to worry if I need to find a new Copy Editor. Why are you leaving?" Danielle rolled her eyes at Stefania. "I don't know for definite yet, I haven't decided." Stefania took a step closer to Danielle "why are you leaving?" Danielle looked up into Stefania's eyes, Stefania put the resignation on the side. She grabbed Danielle's face and kissed her deeply, Danielle asked for access with her tongue, Stefania allowed her to deepen the kiss. Stefania broke the kiss and pushed herself away from Danielle "we can't do this." Danielle grabbed the resignation off the side and handed it to Stefania "That's why".
