Part 21: Sai's Appointment

(Sai and Virat are getting ready for Sai's appointment with the psychiatrist.)
Sai: Virat sir, mein aap se phir se bol rahi hu aap ko pareshan hone ki zaroorat nahi hai mein akele chali jaoungi. Mein aap pe bojh nahi ban na chhati
Virat: aur mein bhi tumse phir se bol raha hun ke mujhe isse koi pareshani nahi hai aur haan tum mere liye kuch bhi ho sakti ho lekin bojh nahi samjhi, toh dubara aise khabhi mat kehna
(Sai looks at Virat with a straight face.)
Sai to herself: aap ke actions aur aap ke words dono alag alag kyun hai Virat sir mein chah ke bhi kuch samjh nahi paaah rahi hu
(Virat snaps his fingers to get Sai back to reality.)
Virat: kahan kho gayi?
Sai: kuch nahi
Virat: Chalein?
Sai: bilkul
(Virat and Sai leave from the house and are walking towards Virat's car.)

(Change of Scene)

(Virat looks at Sai who is all quiet and looking outside.)
Virat: darr lag raha hai?
Sai: darr?
Virat: psychiatrist se milne se?
Sai: darr kyun lagega pehli baar thodi na mil rahi hu lekin haan ab ek ghaav aur badh gaya hai
(Sai get's mosity eyes remembering her Aaba.)
Virat to himself: Sai, joh jua usse badal toh nahi sakta par I promise tumhe itni khusyiaan dounga ke tum un palon se bahar aah sako
Virat: tum toh emotional ho gayi, yeh kaafi achi psychiatrist hain, you will be fine
Sai: Shuarya ne bola toh hai so I am sure achi hi hogi.
Virat to himself: phir se Shaurya mein hu ke nahi iske liye
Virat: of course
(Virat says being sarcastic and they continue to chit chat on their way.)

(Change of Scene)

(Sai and Virat reached the clinic and checked in at the reception and were waiting to be called. After a few minutes of checking in, Sai gets called while Virat waits outside for her.)
Dr. Anokhi. Hello Ms.Joshi, I am your doctor, Anokhi Bhalla. Please have a seat
Sai: Hello Dr.Bhalla, I am Sai, Sai Joshi
Dr.Anokhi: So Ms.Joshi, this is your first counselling session, so tell me everything you would like to share.
(Sai closes her eyes and takes a deep breathe before starting to narrate the story of her life on how they moved to Gadchiroli and Jagtaap being a goon was arrested by her Aaba and then he started harassing her for three long years being mentally and physically assaulted by him and how he tried to force her to get married to him. If this was not enough of her trauma, her aaba died while in the encounter of trapping Jagtap and his father while the bullet was meant for someone else but her Aaba took it on him and she again was left with no one in her life.)
Dr.Anokhi: kya aap bata sakti hai aap ke father ne kis ke liye goli khayi aur aap phirse akeli kaise hui?
Sai: ek ACP appoint hue the Jagtaap and Vithal ko pakad ne ke liye unko bachate hue aaba ne goli kudh pe li aur meri maa mujhe janam dete waqt hi humne chod ke chali gayi toh aaba hi mere liye sab kuch the unhone har ek rishta nibhaya hai
(Sai remembers Aaba and their moments and starts crying.)
Dr.Anokhi: ab aap kya kar rahi hai? Matlab aap kaafi young hai toh kahan reh rahi hai aur are you planning to continue studies?
Sai: mere aaba ne marte waqt mere zimedari un ACP ko di joh abhi mere saath aaye hai, mein abhi unke ghar mein reh rahi hu kuch din baad hostel shift ho jaoungi, Nagpur Medical college mein mera admission hua hai, mein doctor banu yeh mera aur mere aaba ka sapna tha aur isse mein kisi bhi keemat pe poora kar ke rahoungi.
Dr. Anokhi: aap ki zimedari li hai unhone, toh aap bata sakti hai aap unke saath kaisa bond share karti hai?
(Sai thinks about Virat's word to Pakhi that he will never love anyone else and the promise he gave to Pakhi and their interactions when she was in Chavan Niwas and with a heavy heart but with a straight face she replies to the doctor.)
Sai: koi bond share nahi karti mein unke saath, unhone meri responsibilty li hai usse zyada hamare beech aur koi rishta nahi hai aur na khabhi ho sakta hai. I am thankful to him for all the things he has done for me.
(Dr.Anokhi somewhere feels that Sai has feelings for that ACP but there is something which is bothering her.)
Dr.Anokhi: kal ka toh mein kuch keh nahi sakti woh toh khabhi bhi badal sakta hai, jaise jaise humne kisi ko jaane lagte hai unke baare mein hamare khayal bhi badalte te ha. Well Ms.Joshi this was the end of the first session. Next session is after two days, see you then.
(Dr.Anokhi, shakes hands with Sai and greets her but before Sai leaves she asks a question.)
Dr.Anokhi: tum Shaurya ko kaise jaanti ho?
Sai: woh mera bohut hi acha dost hai my best friend ussi ne mujhe aap ka naam recommend kiya tha. Aap unhe kaise jaanti hai?
Dr.Anokhi: He is a good friend of mine, lekin agar unhone mere bare mein aapko nahi bataya toh mein bhi nahi batati, aap unse hi pooch lo. Have a great day
(Sai thinking to herself what is Shaurya hiding and how does he knows Dr.Anokhi. Meanwhile she sees Virat and greets him.)
Sai: chalein?
Virat: sab theek tha na? Koi problem toh nahi hai na? Mein baat karun kuch?
Sai: nahi Virat sir koi problem nahi hai, ab chalein
(Virat and Sai leave.)
