Enoch and Horace's friendship/ relationship would include:
- Enoch being ashamed that his peculiarity scared people. He would hide away brooding because he didn't want to offend anyone.
- Horace being embarrassed of waking up screaming due to his nightmares. Also Horace being very wary of trusting people because he thinks they are using him for his prolific dreams.
- Both of them bonding over their odd peculiarity
- Enoch and Horace whispering at the dinner table.
- Enoch and Horace whispering at bedtime.
- Enoch and Horace making fun of Jacob 24/7
- Horace being the one that taught Enoch sarcasm.
- Horace going to Enoch when he has a nightmare.
- Enoch being an insomniac
- them stay in up all night and talking to avoid sleep.
- Horace sitting with Enoch silently working on his humunculi when Horace is too exhausted to speak.
- Horace sewing clothes for Enoch's humunculi to wear.
-Horace convincing Enoch to let Claire and Olive play with them.
- Horace realising his mistake as the little clay men walk back into the boys room covered in makeup and dressed as princesses.

- Enoch agreeing and saying he wouldn't find one either cause everyone hate his peculiarity.

- Enoch musters up the courage to ask Horace to have a sandwich (DaTe) in the garden with him.
- Horace saying yes
- both of them sitting awkwardly in the grass with their food.
- all the other children just thinking they are planning another prank
- "so now what do we do"
- their first kiss being in Devils Acre after Horace's dream predicts something hellish
- The backstory behind it being that Horace was rapidly spilling every last granule of detail about his dream to Enoch...at 3AM and Enoch being grumpy and tired. Him grabbing and kissing Horace to shut him up.
- Horace's "good heavens ! " with one hand on his chest dramatically gasping.
- both of them sleeping well that night.
