"Hadlee!" I heard a scream.  I searched franticly for the noise source.  I was in a dark room with a cool wooden floor.
"Hadlee!" It screamed more aggressivly. I turned and turned.  Out of no where, mom was standing with a blank stare at the wall.
"Mom!" I yelled.  I ran to her.  She turned her head and smiled.  "Congratulations" She said in a monotone voice.  Still in the same stance.
"Are you OK?". I asked her.  She didn't have any response to it.
  "What did I do?"
She turned back to staring at the wall, "He's a keeper.  Good bye." She said walking into the wall.  She vanished into the wall.  I was feft thwdet by myself.  I looked around and spotted my dad on the other side of the room with they same mindless look.
"Daddy?" I jogged over to him.  His eyes followed me as his arms dangled at his sides.
"Make sure he treats you well.". He said looking around.  What was this "he" stuff?  Where they talking about Dakota?
"Dad!" I yelled as he too began to disappear too.  He didn't answer as he soon was total invisible.

"Hadlee." I heard a whisper to the side of me.  Zenlay was tapping my shoulder.

"Are you OK? You talking weird thinks in your sleep." She looked at my eyes.  We where laying in the hay loft across from Dakota.

"Ya, how did I get up here?" I asked her.  I sat up and looked.  Selena stood next to the wall closest to Dakota.  He laid in the hay comfotaly.

"Dakota and I brought you up here.  He said it would be most comfortable for you bruises up here." She said sitting up, "we better get back to sleep.  I just wanted to make sure your fine."

I nodded in agreement.  As I laid down I though of mom and dad telling me about "he".  Who was 'he'?  Dakota?

I shook it off my mind and closed my eyes.

I woke to the smell of bacon.  On the side of me where Zenlay laid was only partially matted down.  I sat up and looked to the ground.  I heard talking, stern and calm mixed talking.

"Morning!". I heard Dakotas voice call below.  I went closer to the edge and saw Dakota looming up.

"Morning." I said rubbing my eyes.  I got up and climbed down the latter to the ground.  I had just then realized I hadn't taken a shower in 3 days.  My hair was a mess and I smelt terrible.

"Hey Hadlee, bacon?" Zenlay said sitting at a need beer barrel with a piece of wood on top.  She sat on a plastic chair eating bacon and milk.  I walked over to her and stole some bacon.  She pucked out her lips and punched me in the shoulder.  I just stuck my tongue at her.

"Hey, there's plenty more." Dakota said pointing to the counter with a plater of bacon.  There was also a gallon of milk with glasses stacked there.  I walked over, got some bacon and milk then went to sit with my sister.

"So, how did you sleep? Zenlay was telling me that you where talking last night in your sleep." Dakota said feeding Selena.  She pushed her nuzzle to his neck wanting the attention.

"Its nothing.  It was just a dream." I said not wanting to talk about it.  It made me feel grief and made me think about the 'he'.

"OK, if you every need any like medication to help you sleep there's some in the cabnits above the fridge.". He offered.  I just nodded and continued eating.

Dakota had went to the store with Zenlay for clothing and food.  I really didn't want Zenlay to leave with a man that's 5 years older then her and she'd only know for a day or so.  I wasn't saying I didn't trust Dakota its just that shes the only realitive I have left and I want to make sure she's safe.  But she insisted she went so she could get me some cloths because I didn't want to go at all.

I wondered around the place finding something to do.  I looked in the rooms first.  I was going to read a book but none of them looked interesting.  As I walked through the rooms, I saw the tack room.  It wasn't the nicest room.  It had oak walls with stained wooden floors.  Multiple Bridles hung on the wall to the left, the back wall had holders for three saddles, one was missing.  Then on the right side where about 6 large chest stacked on top of each other dusted with dirt and dust.
I walked in the room a little more and looked at the wall where the door was.  A bookshelf sat with old leathered books.  I walked up to them and swopped the side to remove the dust.  About 5 of them where about how to ride a horse.
  Suddonly an idea popped.
"I'm going to learn how to ride Selena by my self.' I whispered my my self.
I grabbed the book that had the number 1 on it.  On the front it was brown with a golden stamped saddle.  No words where on the actual front but on the binding.
"The basics of tack." I spoke carrying the book to the diner table scanning threw the pages.  It was about 100 pages long.
I sat down where I ate for breakfast and read turning the pages slowly trying not to rip the fragile pages.  It showed on how to put on the tack and the controls to guide the horse. I had my nose in its dusty pages.
