The Oni and The Ghost

Chapter 7: Morro Knows.

~Third Person POV~
Morro, Nya, and Jay continued to search the lab for clues. The books from earlier had been dumped into the car for later research.

Morro walked with a flashlight when he pointed it at a flimsy floorboard.
He lightly tapped his foot on it and the floorboard came crashing to whatever was under the lab.

"Hey guys, be careful this place isn't as sturdy as we thought." Morro yelled out to his comrades.

"WHAAAATT!" Jay yelled from the other side of the room.

"Come closer." Morro yelled back.

"KK" Jay screamed as he ran from the other side of the room.

Jay slowed to a walk when he got closer.

"What?" Jay asked as he stepped forward.

"I wanted you guys to know that the floorboards are flimsy so- JAY WATCH OUT!"
Morro stated before yelling as a piece of the ceiling started crashing down.

Morro jumped and tackled Jay out of the way of the incoming wood.

The ceiling board landed right where Jay was 2 seconds ago.

"I guess the ceiling is flimsy too." Morro chuckled as he got up and helped Jay off the floor.

"Thanks for saving my ass Morro." Jay smiled.
"I think I can trust you now." Jay continued.

"Friends?" Jay held out his hand for Morro to shake.

"Friends." Morro smiled as he shook Jay's hand.

"WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?" Nya yelled as she ran over.

"Morro saved me from this ceiling board falling on my head." Jay stated as he shined his flashlight on the broken ceiling board on the ground.

"Wow. If that had hit you Jay, then you would have probably gotten hurt badly." Nya gasped.

Jay nodded.

"Thank you for saving him Morro!" She smiled at the former ghost.

"It's no problem!" Morro nodded as he put his hand on the back of his head.

"I owe ya, buddy." Jay smiled.

"Anyways, we should probably grab some stuff that Wu can study and get out of here, it's already 9:30." Nya stated.

The others agreed and they grabbed their evidence and made it home at 10.

"Sensei? We returned."  Jay said as he opened the door to Sensei's room.

"Ah, how did it go ninja?" Wu replied.

" Well, we found a lot of suspicious stuff and I feel this may be bigger than we thought." Nya said as she grabbed the stuff they collected at the lab and put it in front of Sensei.

Wu took a second to examine the items placed before him.

"I will spend the night looking through this. Good job everyone." Sensei smiled as he motioned for them to leave.

Morro waved goodnight to Nya and Jay and then walked to his room.

He walked in passed Lloyd's room when a hand burst out of the door and pulled Morro inside the Green Ninja's room.

"WHAT TH-" Morro yelled before Lloyd covered him mouth with his hand.

"Shut up, I have to tell you something important bitch." Lloyd whispered as he walked to his bathroom.

"Oh ho ho~ Desperate to talk to me are ya?" Morro laughed.

A small blush appeared on Lloyd's face but his mouth formed a frown.

"This is serious and you can't tell anyone about this, not even Sensei, ok?" Lloyd said.

Morro nodded

"Take a look at this." Lloyd said

Lloyd took off his shirt to show the black splotches all over his body.
He lifted his gums to show the fangs.
And finally, Lloyd took out his eyes contacts and revealed two purple eyes with beaming red pupils.

The two sat in silence for a moment.

"what happened.." Morro whispered.

Lloyd took a moment to respond to the question.

"No idea? But I need to stop it before it's to late and your the only person I can go to." Lloyd sighed as he took a hand out and held Morris hand in his for a moment.

Morro couldn't process what was happening and his head was spinning.

"Why can't I tell anyone Lloyd? You need serious help.." The master of wind sighed as he held Lloyd's hand tighter.

The green ninja looked up from the floor. Lloyd's eyes were stained with tears.
He gulped before talking with a cold tone.

"You were not here when Ninjago City was attacked by Oni. They were all terrifying and everyone else hates Oni with a passion and.." Lloyd sniffed before continuing.

" I'm afraid of what they would do to me.." Lloyd said before breaking down into tears.

Morro quickly hugged the blonde boy into him and let him get all his feelings out.

The pair stayed like that for a while until Morro heard the sound of Lloyd's small cries stop.

The wind ninja looked down and saw the green ninja sleeping into the crook of  Morro's neck.

A small blush appeared on Morro's face as he saw Lloyd's peaceful sleeping face and his chest rising and falling.

Morro picked up the sleeping ninja and placed him on his bed.

The black and green haired boy tucked in Lloyd
and gave him a kiss on the top of the head.

Morro sighed as he flopped into the chair next to the bed.

"What am I gonna do?" Morro sighed.
