Wilbur whisked back around to the head of the table, brushing his hand over a map which had been laid down. A short steel dagger was sticking out of the centre, the word "L'MANBERG" scrawled in red Sharpie.

"Now, as I was saying, I'm proposing we send out a small squadron. Just to check the land for a way in with minimal security." Wilbur said, his finger dancing along the paper as he traced the edges of L'manberg.

"So, how many people are we sending?" Tommy asked, his fists on the table. Wilbur pocketed his hands, turning to the shorter boy.
"Three, no more, no less. Though there will be some people ruled out by default." He said.

Rain was quiet, standing next to Techno with her arms folded.
"I'm ruled out due to being in charge. Techno told me he has some stuff to work out, so he's ruled out too. And finally, Tubbo's only here temporarily, he has to go back shortly." Wilbur explained.
Rain paused, confused.

"Hang on. Back?"

"Back Where?"

"Manburg." Tubbo said bluntly.
He straightened his red tie, turning to the girl in purple. "I'm undercover for Pogtopia." He said.

Rain raised her brow, her arms falling to her sides.
"Wow." She breathed. "Sticking your neck out for us, that's brave." She smiled. Tubbo looked surprised briefly, before turning away, smiling.
"Thank you." she heard him say quietly.

Tommy turned to the man in charge.
"I assume we need three volunteers among the lot of us who aren't exempt." He said.
Wilbur nodded, "I already know you're enthusiastically in." Tommy nodded, smiling. "Duh." He said, turning to the others.

"We need two others then, hands up if you wanna go." Tommy said. Two hands went up, belonging to the two girls around the table.

Niki and Rain were volunteering.

Rain's adoptive brother put a heavy hand on her shoulder, his fingers twitching. Rain paused, turning to face him. His pale eyes showed nothing but concern.

"Rain, you literally just joined today. What are you doing?" He asked. Rain's gaze flicked back and forth between Techno's eyes. She looked down, contemplating his question. Placing a fist against her chest, he gave him a firm look.
"You can't hope to win a war if you don't participate. Plus anyway, I need to show what I can bring to the table." Rain turned to Wilbur.

The brown haired man turned to Techno, he read the pig-man's eyes closely. Techno was unsure for a moment longer, before turning to his adoptive sister again. Rain smiled kindly at him, giving his a reassuring nod.

"As long as you're sure." He said calmly. Rain smiled, turning to Wilbur.
"She's going with Tommy and Niki, then." The man in the trench coat gave a simple nod.
"Get your armour on and get going. I only want a brief scout, so you should be no more than half an hour." He said. "This meeting is over."

Rain stood strapping on her armour, tying the straps of her forearm guards twice just in case. The dark violet cloak hung on a rack just beside her, along with the dented iron chestplate.

She had checked on the place where Techno had swung at her. Yes, it was starting to bruise. And there was now a noticeable chink in the armour itself.

She finished putting the rest on and was reaching for the chestplate. She felt something prod her in the back, turning to see Technoblade.

"Oh! Techno, what's up? I swear, I'm gonna be fine." She said. Techno held out his hands, something appearing in a flash of white. Rain's jaw quite literally dropped.
