Techno and Tommy bounded after Eret as they crossed the battlefield, ducking between fights and avoiding arrows as they went. Manburg had become a war zone. That much was clear. And it was even more worrisome that there was a lot of TNT potentially just below their feet. Techno didn't recognise this land, he had been reserved as a potato farmer and a guard to the Pogtopian entrance. He had never been sent to scout or even look at the territory, leading to his understanding of the battlefield being limited. He was relying on Eret not to lead them into a trap, like he had done to Tommy and Wilbur many months ago.

Techno watched the man as he moved ahead of him, never taking his eyes off him while simultaneously conscious of Tommy running at his side. The former King moved with purpose, and with such speed. It was like he wished for this to all be over with quickly. Which was probably true with everyone fighting in this war. Eret never once glanced back at them, keeping his gaze focused on the path forward as they ducked between houses and side streets before eventually ending up at the outskirts of the city.

Eret began slowing down as they circled the walls.
They were approaching their destination, Techno knew it.
He caught a glimpse of something iron embedded into the earth as Eret came to a full stop. The man turned on one foot, pushing his sunglasses further up the bridge of his nose.
"We're here. This is the trapdoor down into the holding cells." He stated. He stood aside, revealing the metal hatch.

Techno moved past him and crouched to look at the trapdoor. Refined iron, reinforced heavily, working on a mechanism attached to a wood and stone lever at its side. Techno would bet emeralds that the lever opened the trapdoor. The pig-man's reddish eyes turned towards the man in the sunglasses, his gaze serious.
"We don't have a lot of time to waste. Not that I'm not grateful you led us here, Eret. But we need to get in." He stated.

A pair of feet approached Techno, crouching beside him to reveal themselves to belong to Tommy.
"Let's get the trapdoor open then, shall we gents?" Tommy asked. Techno raised his brow, it wasn't like Tommy to be this formal or coherent for that matter.
Maybe the situation had finally caught up to him, or maybe his earlier excitement for combat was just the adrenaline getting to him.
Later. Techno thought, I can ponder Tommy's cordiality once I have my sister back.

"Pull the lever then, Tommy. And be quick. The quicker we're in, the quicker we're out." Eret said, his head turned to their surroundings, a hand reaching down to the hilt of his sword.
His fingers were twitching in anticipation, Techno glimpsed beads of sweat beginning to form on his forehead.
He was undeniably nervous, or perhaps afraid.
Well, he would be, surely? He'd just renounced his throne in favour of fighting on the opposite side, of course he would be nervous of crossing blades with former allies.

Techno's senses picked up the creak of the lever's mechanism working. Turning back, he saw Tommy holding the lever down to the lowest point it was allowed to go. Techno heard a click in the mechanism as it reached the limit. The trapdoor swung upwards lazily until it connected with the wall. The trapdoor was open, and without a moment too soon. Techno smiled and stood up, he glanced quickly at his two companions before eying the opening hopefully.
"Let's go."

Techno, Tommy and Eret made their descent quickly, opting for sliding down the ladder rather than stepping down one rung at a time. Each of them reached the floor quickly, standing to look up at the still open hatch. Techno wished they could've closed it, but the mechanism only worked one way and there was no lever on the inside. He could only pray that they found his sister and Tubbo and got out before anyone found them.
