It's been three days since I last saw him.

He's cheating on you.

He hates you.

He's trying to get away from you.

You can't call him or he'll think you're being clingy again.

"Shut up." I screamed at my reflection as I hurled the metal book stop at it, the glass shattering and sending fragments in all directions.

"Baby, I'm home." His voice shouted through the house.

It's been three days since he went on that business trip. It's been three days since I've had my sanity. My thoughts get too out of control and there's nothing I can do to shut them up. Unless I'm with him. He silences them. But he isn't going to like the state of the apartment. I fell down onto the floor in hysterics. I just want the voices to end, but they won't.

"Where are you Caleb?" He asked as his voice got closer to me.

My breathing quickened as my chest felt tight and constricted. The thoughts in my head were getting so loud that I couldn't even hear Ryan's voice begging me to calm down. I felt him lift my hand to his chest. The soft beats of it hitting against his rib cage calming ever so slightly.

"Hey baby. You're okay. Whatever they are telling you is wrong. I promise you. I'm sorry I was away for so long, we got snowed in last night. But we can focus on that later. For now I need you to focus on my breathing. Can you do that for me? In and out for me please." He said softly as he moved himself behind me.

He had me leaning against him, my back to his chest, as he wrapped his arms around me. I tried to copy his breathing, but I just couldn't.

"I c-can't." I choked out to him, causing his grip to get tighter.

"Okay baby. Don't worry. What's five things you want in life?" He asked.

"For you to be suc-successful. For me to finish c-college. F-for my dad to get b-better. I want to open m-y business. And I w-want my sisters twins to be h-healthy." I said between sobs and cried.

"Perfect. Name me four things you can feel." He said as he ran his hands up my sides comfortingly.

"Your hands. The tiles. The z-zip on your coat. Your s-stubble." I recited.

"You're doing amazing. Three things you can see."

"The broken mirror. The book stop. Your rings." I wasn't stuttering anymore but my heart was still beating at a rapid pace.

"Great. Two things you can hear?" He asked, running one of his hands though my hair.

"Your voice. And the clock." I rushed out.

"Okay, two breaths with me. In and hold for three." He said as I felt his chest rise against me. I breathed in and held it for the three seconds he asked for. "Good, now out for five and repeat it twice."

I did as he said and repeated the cycle twice.

"And finally; one thing you can smell?" He whispered in my ear.

"Your cologne." I breathed out.

I rested my head against his shoulder and closed my eyes. My breathing and heart rate had returned to normal. Him talking to me had got the voice to stop.

"I think you should have a bath." He whispered to me as he lifted my body lightly so he could stand up.

"No. Please don't leave me." I begged as I grabbed his wrist.

"Who said anything about leaving you?" He asked as he started to unbutton his shirt.

He walked over to the bath and started filling it with warm water. He pushed his shirt off his shoulder, to reveal the tattoo that runs up the side of his body. My eyes traced the patterns as I stood there. He chuckled slightly and walked over.

"You can trace your eyes and fingers over the ink once you've gotten in the bathtub." He said as he lifted my shirt off of my body, and pulled at the drawstrings of the joggers.

Once we were both completely stripped, he climbed into the bath and ushered for me to sit in between his legs. I obliged and rested my head against his shoulder. He brought his arms around my body and rested them on my stomach.

"You're not gonna leave me are you?" I mumbled out, hoping he wouldn't hear me.

But he did.

He laughed lightly at my question and held my left hand up.

"If I was going to leave you, I wouldn't have put the ring on your finger now would I?" He asked as he pointed to the silver band on my ring finger.

"I don't think I can live without you." I said, staring at the wall.

"Well then, it's a good thing I'm not going anywhere then, isn't it?" He asked as he lifted my chin with his fingers.

He rested his forehead against mine for a few seconds before he intertwined our lips with each other. He rested his hand on my cheek as the other stayed under my chin.

"I love you." I whispered to him as he pulled away.

"I love you more than you could ever know." He whispered back.
