The Day I Never Wanted to Forget

Song Of The Day:

"Gamsahabnida! Thank you so much for dropping me home." As the driver left with his car, I entered my house. The moment I stepped into my house I screamed as loud as I could. If I remember correctly, I was exactly screaming for 4 minutes and 22 seconds. My brain wasn't ready to accept that I just met with Astro. Not just met, but we talked, smiled and they even asked me my name. What more did I want? My dream was never to meet them but I definitely wanted to attend their concert one day. But what happened today was even better than a concert. I met them face to face. Lying on my bed, I kept remembering the same things over and over again until it was 3 am.

I only got 4 hours of sleep that night. Waking up, I got ready for my part-time job again. On my way to work, I wanted to yell and tell everyone what happened last night but then I remembered this article that I had read a few months ago that about how some incidents can ruin Kpop idols' reputations. I didn't want anything of that sort to take place so I decided to stay quiet. However, containing my excitement was just too hard. My first costumer that morning was 19-year old boy who wanted a haircut and dye his hair blue. He told me I could do any style. Since my memory was fresh, I styled his hair just like the one I saw last night similar to Sanha's hairstyle. He loved it and even paid me some extra tip for such a good hairstyle. My attention to detail was good so that day to express my happiness and excitement, I styled everyone like a Kpop idol and of course they all loved it.

On my way back home, I was still imagining everything that took place last night. I wanted to go there again. See if they are still sitting in that room. Will they recognize me again? Ahh..I don't know. They probably meet so many people everyday. Its probably very hard to remember one single face. But maybe they might remember me? The entire time on way home, I kept convincing myself that it was a special night and they might remember everything but then I kept coming back to the conclusion that it just wasn't possible. At one point, I thought I was going crazy. I really started to believe that nothing had ever happened and everything is just a whole big gigantic dream. Haha...I know what you're thinking. But trust me I was not drunk that night.

Suddenly, I got a notification on my phone. It was from Klove. Its practically a app that allows anyone around the world to keep track of their favorite kpop band's concert dates, fan signing events, world tours and much more. (*please note this is a fictional story and therefore no such app exists however there are other application to do such things)

Whenever I receive a notification from Klove, I am always excited to find out what's Astro's new event. As I opened the notification, I found out that Astro was hosting their first fan signing event this year. How exciting! I have been trying to go to their fan signing event since they first debuted in 2016. But in South Korea, fan signing events are most of the times based on a lottery system. And despite my multiple attempts to win the lottery, I have never been able to attend one of these events. One year, I actually bought 25 albums just to increase my chances of winning the lottery. But every year so far has been a fail. This time, I didn't have much hopes however I still applied for the lottery.

The next morning, the decision was made.

I WAS SELECTED FOR THE EVENT!?

What? I could not believe what I just read. After multiple times of failing, I was finally selected. It was like Astro was my lucky charm. I couldn't wait to see them again. I kept thinking about how they might recognize me once they see me again.

The event was 4 days later. So I decided to go shopping. I bought new clothes, new makeup, new shoes and even a new book in which they would sign their names. My excitement was almost to the moon and back. I asked my employer to give me a 2 day vacation so I can prepare for this amazing day. I had no idea what was going to happen. That night when they saw me, it was the end of the day and I was looking like a complete mess. But this time would be different. I wanted to look nice in front of them so I started to get ready to meet them once again.
