Izuku returned to UA once Stain had been captured.

"My my, you really work fast!" Nezu said.

  Izuku laughed.

"I just got lucky he was ready to talk." He replied.

_____________

Class 1A had their internships the week after the sports festival. They'd all impressed Izuku with how much they'd improved, but he knew they could do better.

"Should I give them the polished analysis before the final exams, or wait until the training camp?" He asked.

  Nezu thought for a moment.

"Training camp. Let them take the exams under their own training, then you can put them through the wringer at the training camp. Make sure to take notes of their exams though." The rodent said.

  Izuku snorted.

"Of course. I'm not going to just give up halfway through." He said.

  ______________

Class 1A took their end of term exams. Izuku came up with the idea to put them two versus one against a teacher. Most of the students passed, but a few definitely needed training separate from just using their quirks.

Kirishima and Sato needed problem solving skills, Mina and Kaminari needed analysis, and Sero just needed to work on situational awareness.

"I assume you'll be joining class 1A and 1B on their trip to the summer training camp?" Nezu asked.

  Izuku nodded.

"It'll be best if I'm there to monitor their progress. I can also help them if they get stuck trying to improve."

  Nezu grinned.

"In the meantime, do you want to work on the Overhaul case? A few.. incidents have come up which need looking into." The rat said.

  Izuku wore a similar smile.

  "Nothing would make me happier."

_______________

Izuku sat at the front of the bus, alongside Aizawa.

"Don't drag me into your logical ruse please." Izuku muttered, scribbling in his notebook with his right hand and typing on his laptop with his left.

The hero just gave a grunt of agreement.

"Whatcha working on Midoriya?" Mina asked.

"A case involving a Yakuza boss." He replied curtly.

"Like, a proper case? With the police and heroes working on it and everything?" Kaminari asked.

Izuku looked back over his seat.

"Yes. I'm the one leading the investigation." He said.

Izuku turned back to his work, copying down the statements given by the criminal's who'd encountered Overhaul.

Apparently he didn't do anything to them.

  Izuku called bullshit on that.

All the criminals remembered was blacking out for a fraction of a second. Overhaul's quirk let him disassemble and reassemble things at will when he touched them.

Basically, he could kill and revive people as much as he wanted. So Izuku believed Chisaki had obliterated and revived the criminals the police had apprehended.

The bus drove for a few hours, leaving the city and going along winding roads through forests and hills. It stopped on a cliff side, overlooking a vast swath of forestry.

Izuku had compiled every little incident or snippet of information that could be used against Overhaul into one large file. If he was going to take the monster down, he would need to take him down for as long as possible.

"Alright, this is the rest stop." Aizawa said, stepping off the bus.

Class 1A quickly followed, to Izuku's amusement.

You're good at this Eraser. They don't suspect a thing.

Izuku put his laptop away, and got off the bus just as 1A were thrown off the cliff side by Pixie Bob.

"Oh, looks like we missed one!" She said enthusiastically, turning to Izuku.

"He's not part of the class. He's with me." Aizawa said quickly.

Pixie Bob looked disappointed, while Mandalay was confused.

"I thought it was just 1A, 1B two teachers and us?" She asked.

  Izuku nodded.

"I'm the sole member of class 1Z. I'm here to analyse the students and help them improve in any ways I find lacking." He explained.

Izuku and Aizawa took the bus down the mountain, to a small campsite inside the vast woodlands.

The greenette put his belongings in the cabin provided for him, setting up his laptop and getting to work. He had to polish off a few training regimes and finish up his report on Overhaul's activities, then send it to Nighteye.

When the class eventually reached camp it was time for dinner, which was provided by the wild wild pussycats. The students were then sent to bed, to prepare for the next day's hell.

Izuku stood outside the cabins and handed each of the students a sheaf of papers as they emerged in the morning. The training regimes were passed on with a smirk and good luck.

While the hero course students were training, Izuku was running laps around the compound, or lifting weights. He wanted to be combat- ready, but not to the same level as the heroes.

Class 1B arrived after about an hour into training, so Izuku handed over their training regimes and went back to his excersises. A few were sceptical, but Aizawa and Vlad King got them onto the training plans.

The hero students did that training all day, but Izuku stopped his around lunchtime to go back to his analysis work.

On the third day of training, the heroes gave the students a break in the evening. The wild wild pussycats had set up a game in the woods.

"Class 1A versus class 1B! Whichever class scares the other most wins! Class 1B, go and set up any surprises you want along the track!" Pixie Bob said enthusiastically.

Some members of class 1A and Monoma were dragged away for remidial classes with Aizawa and Vlad King.

Which meant Izuku was forced to participate.

"I'd very much rather working on the Overhaul case..." He muttered.

He was paired with Jirou, which wasn't too bad. At least he wasn't with Bakugo.

  "Alright, Bakugo and Todoroki, start!"

A few minutes passed, and Izuku and Jirou were called.

  "Midoriya, Jirou, go!"
