"𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 date is it today, Marianne?" Victoria asked her maid as she sat in front of the vanity mirror. The young maid sat open mouthed at how polite the other was being, so different from before. Victoria sighed internally, understanding that she must have acted extremely spoiled before Lia had taken over.
As Marianne answered quickly, she smiled. It was way before anything important actually happened in the novel, so there was nothing to worry about.
"You look beautiful my lady." The maid said after everything was done. "By the way, my lady, Lord Eisenberg called for you."
"Thank you." Victoria answered, standing up from the chair. She had on a light blue gown, with roses and lace arranged round the skirt. (Pic above.) A plus of being reborn into a story based on an era like this. She could wear dresses and jewelry whenever she wanted, something that was possible but looked down on in her old life.

"You called for me, father?" Victoria entered a large study, glancing around. As expected of the famed duke, everything was organized and neat.
"Ah, Vicky." The blond haired man stood up from his tall wooden chair. "Its good to see you."
In the novel, the reason why Victoria turned out the way she was, was because her family showed a surplus of affection and love, a stark contrast to the rest of society. She was the first child, and yet her younger brother, Leo Eisenberg, always held the spotlight. Because he was the son, the automatic heir. Love didn't mean power, and so for her whole life, Victoria had to manipulate those around her, just so that she could survive. And her family, blind to the needles which pierced the girl's heart everyday, ignored the obviously fake smiles, and instead contributed unconsciously to the rumors.
So Victoria ignored the greeting. "What did you call me for?" She repeated coldly.
Albert Eisenberg blinked. Where had his sweet daughter gone? She would usually have come with a cup of tea for him, while bombarding him with compliments and smiles.
"Y-yes. I wanted to talk to you about your younger brother."
Victoria already knew what her father was going to say. Even though he was only 40, he planned on naming Leo heir of the title, so that when the boy turned 18, he would receive the dukedom. In the novel, after Leo received even more power than before, Victoria turned towards the crown prince, desiring his crown, and then to his younger brother, the second prince. All so that she could satisfy her true ambitious nature, and her feeling of being wronged.
Park Lia, when she had read that scene, felt pity for the villainess and felt a kinship towards her. After all, the reason why she had become a doctor was to have the power to decide her own path. Now she, as Victoria, had the chance to live happily, while giving the girl the happiness she could never receive.
"Alright." Victoria said simply.
After the two were sitting across from each other, Albert opened his mouth to speak. "I want to name your brother as heir." He said.
"Why are you telling me this, before telling Leo?"
"Because I thought you had the right to know first."
"Why?"
Albert sat in silence, before answering. "I know you wanted the title."
"No, you don't. And although I did before, I don't now. I don't care about the dukedom. And now that we're talking about this, I have something to say. Please call for Leo and Cyril." Victoria spoke, her face expressionless.
Raising an eyebrow, her father nodded, and waved for a servant to call for the two boys.
And when they came, they also sat, Cyril next to Victoria, and Leo next to Albert.
"In two days, I am going to leave for the Academy." The oldest female said bluntly, when they were all situated.
Immediately, the three males stood up in shock. "What?" They all exclaimed.
"Do you need me to repeat it again? I am going to leave for the Academy, in two days."
