Sabito and I shouted and Giyuu looked bored as usual.
"Congratulations, you all are now Demon Slayers. Please pick out your own ore for your nichirin blade," The black haired girl said.
There were a lot of us before the Final Selection and now only few survived. I felt sadness in my heart knowing that other people didn't survive. They won't be able to go back home.
We picked out our ores and we left the mountain. I said my goodbyes to Sabito and Giyuu knowing that someday, in the distant future, we'll meet again and be together.
"We'll surely meet again, Yuei! I'll see you at a Hashira meeting," Sabito smiled widely.
"Let's meet once we're Hashiras!" I yelled out.
"May we meet again"

I was excited to go home and to finally tell Kyojuro and Senjuro of my success.
I arrived at the Residence and I saw Kyojuro waiting for me. I stopped walking and he noticed me. Tears suddenly fell upon my eyes and he came running towards me.
"Yuei!" He said with concern and happiness in his voice.
He gave me a big and tight embrace. He gently laid his hand on my head and patted it. I missed his tight and warm embrace, his sweet scent, and his lovely smile that reassures me that we'll be alright.
"Tadaima," I said in a broken voice. I was crying.
"Okaerii!!" Kyojuro shouted in joy and happiness.

I was bedridden for days and Senjuro comes to aid me. Kyojuro said he took a break from demon hunting to spend more time with me and to take care of me.
"You should really be careful, Yuei," Senjuro commented in concern and I just cheekily smiled.
"I'm glad you made some friends," Kyojuro said.
"Yeah me too! They were really cool and we promised to meet again once we're Hashiras," I said.
"You will definitely get there," Kyojuro smiled.
"Ohh- Aniki, tell Yuei of your success!" Senjuro joyfully exclaimed.
Kyojuro looked at me, "I'm a Kinoe now."
"Kinoe? Kino- KINOE!??"

I pulled Kyo into a hug, "WAHH I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!"
"Thank you! I will become a Hashira soon and make father proud."
"Now I have to keep up to you, Kyo-san!" I said.
"You will surely reach Hashira level," Kyojuro smiled.
It was good to be home

"Yuei! Are you okay?" Senjuro asked in concern.

"What happened to you? Didn't your Nichirin Blade arrive?"
I looked at Senjuro with dead eyes, "I have a black nichirin blade."

"I don't care about what they say! It was destined for you so keep it," Senjuro yelled and I began to succumb into my disappointment.
Senjuro facepalmed himself, "Sometimes I feel like I'm older than you."
