Thor's Back

I zip my bag shut and it hovers behind me into the living room. Nat, Tony, Steve and Bucky are waiting on the couch for me to finish. My bag drops to the ground and I look at my feet.

"Don't use your powers unless it's absolutely necessary." Tony says and stands up in front of me. "Stay as hidden as possible."

"I will Tony." I whisper and he pulls me into his arms. "Please stay safe."

Tony nods his head and steps back. Nat comes up to me and grabs my hand.

"You're going to be okay." Nat whispers and I put my forehead on hers. "Don't be so hard on Bucky. He will keep you safe and you will keep him safe."

"I don't want to go." I whisper and Nat smiles.

"I know. Just trust this alright?"

I nod my head and Nat walks away. Steve smiles at me and looks at Bucky. He must really trust Bucky, which gives me hope that maybe I will too.

Something caught my eye outside the window and a smile grew on my face. I take off running with everyone close behind me. When I step outside, tears form in my eyes and I run into Thor's arms when the light fades.

"Hey poppy!" He says and doesn't realize somethings wrong.

"Hi Thor. I'm glad you're back now." I say through tears.

"Hey... what's wrong?" He says and sets me down. His eyes look behind me and see everyone coming outside behind me. "What is it?"

"Someone's coming after the stones. Tony says I have to leave and go into hiding. I'm leaving now with that man, Bucky." I say and grab Thor's hand with my left hand.

"Tony! Why does she need to hide?" Thor shouts at Tony as they walk closer. "She's the most powerful one here."

"It doesn't matter. She can't be anywhere near the fight. Thanos wants the stones and if we can keep one safe, we will. No debating. This is happening." Tony says and Thor realizes Tony is right.

"Alright poppy, listen, we must keep the stone safe. You can protect it away from the fight." Thor says and grabs my right hand. He's not afraid of the stone, but he knows how strong I am.

"I will keep it safe. I'm just sad that I have to leave as soon as you get back." I say to Thor and he smiles at me.

"I know. But when this is over I'll find you and I'll stay longer to spend time with you. I promise poppy."

I smile at him and hug him one last time. Tony mentions how Bucky and I need to get on the road. We get my bags into an inconspicuous vehicle and close the trunk.

"Keep her safe Buck." Steve says and pats Bucky's shoulder.

"I will pal." Bucky says and smiles at him.

I get inside the passenger seat of the car and roll the window down. Nat grabs my hand and rubs the back of it. Tony is close behind her and he's smiling at me.

"You're going to be fine. We will fix this and get you home as soon as we can." Nat says and kisses my cheek before backing up.

"Don't scare Bucky too much alright kiddo?" Tony says and laughs.

"I won't Tony." I say with a smile.

"One of those suitcases is full of cash. It should be plenty to last whenever you're going. Just be mindful and be smart." Tony adds and speaks softly.

"I will." I say and smile. "Thank you Tony."

Thor walks up to the window and hunches over to look at me. He grabs my cheek and rubs it with his thumb. I smile and leans into his hand, it's nice how much he cares for me.
