Natasha and Steve found a place together, because Steve decided to not leave Nat's side anymore. Laura enjoyed seeing Nat happy with Steve.

It's been a week since Nat came back and Laura only leaves her to go home and sleep. Every night, Bucky tucks Laura into bed and kisses her head before going to his own room.

"I think I'm finally starting to be happy again." Laura whispered as Bucky sat on the edge of her bed. "I really miss Tony, but he was so brave for what he did. At least I have Nat back... and you."

"I'll do anything to make you happy." Bucky whispered and rubbed her cheek.

"You're making me happy just being here." Laura said and leaned into his touch.

"I've been meaning to ask you. Since I came back, I can't stop thinking about you. Well, even before I left you were all I thought about." Bucky said and chuckled at himself. "Would you want to be mine? Officially."

Laura smiled and closed her eyes. She was happy Bucky was finally asking. Slowly, Laura opened her mouth to speak but Bucky cut her off.

"I don't want you to think it's too soon. I just want you to be mine." Bucky added and looked down at her laying beside him.

"Bucky, I've waited for you for the past five years. I want nothing more than to be yours, finally, yours." Laura said and sat up.

Bucky put his arms around her and she smiled at his embrace. She leaned back and looked him in the eyes, his beautiful blue eyes.

"Have I told you I'm glad your back yet?" Laura whispered and smiled.

"Only a few times." Bucky said and stared at her. "Can I kiss you?" Bucky asked and looked down at her lips.

Laura nodded her head and smiled. She was waiting for him to ask because, honestly, she's been waiting for his kiss since he came back.

Bucky leaned over and pressed his lips to hers. It was bliss. Every part of her was happy again. Her heart was full with him beside her.

"I'm yours now. You can kiss me anytime you'd like." Laura whispered when Bucky pulled away.

"I like the sound of that." Bucky whispered and put his forehead to hers. "I like the sound of you being mine."

"Well, get used to it." Laura responded and could feel his breath against her. "Why don't you just stay here... with me?"

"Not yet. I want you to just be mine for awhile." Bucky said and pulled his head back and smiled at Laura.

"Alright." Laura said and chuckled.

"Goodnight Laura." Bucky said and kissed her lips gently one more time.

"Goodnight James." Laura said and Bucky chuckled.

"Very funny." Bucky said and slowly walked out of Laura room.

Deep down, Bucky liked the sound of his name, his real name, coming out of her mouth. She made it sound sweet and gentle, which is the complete opposite of what he is.

That night, Bucky smiled in his sleep when he dreamt about Laura's lips on his. Laura did the same, she dreamt of him coming back to her and the happiness it brought her.

The next day, Laura and Bucky met Natasha and Steve for breakfast. The diner they went to was beautiful, the building was shiny and people were sitting outside under the warm sun.

Laura sat in between Bucky and Nat and felt like she was right where she was meant to be. The part of her that missed Tony was being filled by Natasha being back with her. At least she still had the mother figure she always needed in life.

"So, Buck, did you ask her yet?" Steve asked and smiled at his friend.

"Yeah I did. She said yes." Bucky responded and grabbed Laura's hand.

"I'm glad to see it pal." Steve said and smiled at the two of them.

"You knew?" Laura asked and chuckled.

"Of course I knew. He's my best friend. I might've told Nat too." Steve said and smiled at Natasha.

"Nat!" Laura said and smiled at her.

"Sorry! I didn't want to spoil it for you." Natasha responded and Laura chuckled.

The four of them sat around and ate their breakfast. Laura couldn't help but watch the 3 most important people in her life sitting together, actually happy for once.

Bucky is actually smiling and having a good time. Natasha is back and she's better than she ever was before. Steve was cracking jokes and making everyone chuckle at the table.

Laura looked at Nat and they smiled at each other.

"Thank you." Laura whispered while Steve and Bucky talked about something amongst themselves.

"For what?" Natasha responded and leaned towards Laura.

"If it weren't for you, I would have never met anyone I know now. I'm really thankful you took me under your wing all those years ago." Laura said and grabbed Nat's hand.

"It was the best decision I've ever made." Nat said and squeezed her hand.

"What are you two talking about?" Steve asked and the two girls looked at him.

"Nothing." Natasha said and smiled at Steve.

Bucky put a hand on Laura's leg and she turned to him. A smile grew on her face and he looked at her for a moment. Steve and Natasha started another conversation and Bucky and Laura had their moment.

"I'm really happy Bucky." Laura whispered and leaned her head on his shoulder.

"I'm glad." Bucky whispered back.

The rest of the morning, the four of them enjoyed each other's company. Everyone talked to each other and Laura listened to everything they all had to say. She was content in that moment to be there.

After breakfast, Laura and Bucky walked around the city, hand in hand. She looked at all of the skyscrapers and the people around the streets. Even though the city was still a mess, like usual, it was her home.

All of a sudden, Laura was stopped by Bucky. She looked up at him and smiled. His smile grew and he kissed her gently.

"What's that for?" She asked and chuckled at him.

"I didn't have a reason for life before I knew you. Now, my reason is you." Bucky said and pulled Laura too him by her waist. "Thank you."

"We have each other now." Laura said and leaned into his chest. "I'll always come back to you, Bucky Barnes."

"This is forever." Bucky whispered and rubbed her back softly.

"Forever."
