The First Punch

Why is that light so bright? You thought as you opened your eyes to find yourself laying in bed.  

So it was all a dream. You wanted to cry your eyes out at that very moment.  

This seemed to cruel.  

Unfair. 

Life isn't fair though. 

You laid back down, your head hurt though. It was throbbing, almost like a hangover. 

"LILY!" You called from your room. "LILY!" You called again. You heard footsteps coming towards your room. Greg's head poked in. 

"What's up?" He asked  

"Where's Lily?" You asked  

"She's not your only roommate you know." Greg said  

"Ok fine." You said "did we go to the concert last night?" You asked 

"Yeah we did. Look at your shirt that you're sleeping in." He said pointing to you. You looked down and saw that you were still wearing all your clothes from last night or the possible dream. "And you came home in that giant bus remember? Or did they drug you to make you forget?" Greg said with a laugh. 

"Wait are you serious?" You asked, you felt like you've been saying or thinking that a lot.  

"Yeah! Oh my God are you hungover? Haha that's funny but seriously you should remember something as big as that" Greg said as he left and closed your bedroom door behind him. 

You've got to be kidding me, you thought as you searched the floor for my phone and charger.  

You stumbled over to the outlet and plugged in your phone.  

Then You waited.  

The screen slowly came to life and you could feel your hopes rise a little bit.  

"Come on. Come on." You murmur to yourself as you tapped on the screen. The home screen finally came up and you quickly pressed the message app. 

7 unread text messages 

Your heart picked up speed as you tried to recognize the number. You opened the first text message. 

It read: Hey Ellie it's Tony.  

He actually texted me! You thought and a giant smile spread across your face. 

You scrolled through the other messages. They were all texts either saying "I'm gay for Jaime" or "sorry that was the guys"  

You chuckled at the thought that someone like Tony would actually have problems explains to a girl that his friends kept stealing his phone. You began to type a reply when there was a knock at your bedroom door. 

"Knock knock you little slut" Lily said as she came into your room with a tray of food. "I thought that after all that drinking that you would need a nice lunch" she said as she placed the tray on your bed then say crossed legged on the ground. "Now tell me everything!" She said her eyes filled with the curiosity of a child.  

You could barely remember anything that happened from the night before.  

You were drunk, you thought. 

"I don't remember much" you said as you began eating the bread that was in the tray. "I think it's cause I drank a little to much" Lily gasped dramatically  

"I hope you didn't act to... Crazy" Lily said delicately. 

"I don't think so because I remember once I was home Tony asked me for my number" you said as you grabbed the pain killer medicine and drank it down with water.
