Queen for a Day

You felt as if you slept forever.  

It was almost 1 in the afternoon when you woke up. Tony kept you up late again with one of his long and late night phone conversations. You didn't mind it though.  

It's been weeks since the last time you saw him. You missed him greatly but you didn't want to ask to hang out since you felt like you just be bothering him.  

Recently he'a been talking about a trip somewhere. You hoped he wasn't going to far.  

Why do you keep worrying? You thought, he's not even yours. 

You kicked off your covers and you instantly got cold and grabbed the nearest sweater on the floor. Then you made your way downstairs to the kitchen. 

"Good morning sleeping beauty" Lily said sitting at the counter with a bowl of salad in front of her. "Did your turtle keep you up late again?" She asked with a smirk. You didn't even feel like dealing with her. So you just walked passed her into the living room where you collapsed on the couch.  

Questions filled your head. 

Where was Tony going for this trip? We're there going to be other girls? Prettier girls? Is he gonna like one of them? You buried your face into a pillow.  

"You ok kiddo?" You could hear Lily ask.  

"Yeah" you said into the pillow. "I'm fine"  

"If you need to talk me and Greg are always here. But I might be going to the mall later with Aubrey." Lily said. Your heart sank. You hated Aubrey. She was the only other person that knew you from middle school. Lily was still friends with her. "I know you hate her. But I'm the only real  friend she's got" Lily said trying to make you feel better. Aubrey had plenty other fake Californian friends. Lily was too nice to her.  

You sat up on the couch and rubbed your face. 

"It's fine" You said plastering on a fake smile. 

"I know you aren't. I'm sorry" she said as she patted your head the walked away. You leaned back and sank into the couch. You clicked on the tv and tried to relax.  

You heard your ringtone coming from upstairs. You moaned as you ran to pick it up. 

"Hello?" You said, you didn't have time to see who called. 

"Hey. It's me" Tony said his voice sounded as tired as yours. 

"Oh hey!" You said, you felt like you haven't talked to him in ages. When in reality you talked to him only a few hours ago.  

"Yeah so you know how I've been talking about taking a trip. Well I wanted to ask you if you would come with me." Tony said. You wanted to squeal with excitement. But it only sounded like a weird squeaky noise. You controlled yourself then responded. 

"I would love to" you said. 

"Ok well we're going to Disney Land!" Tony said. Your heart stopped. Disney land? With Tony? It was as if he read the mind of your childhood self.  

"Yay. That's great. It's a day trip. And I wanted to go tomorrow if that's ok with you." He said.  

"Yeah that's fine." You said.  

"Ok I'll call you when I'm on my way to your house." He said.  

"Ok sounds like a plan" you said. Your heart was pounding incredibly. 

"That's super. See you tomorrow morning then Ellie bear." He said 

"Wait did you just call me Ellie bear?" You asked.
