"I swear you two are the laziest people I know.." Aether sighed, face palming.

You and Paimon continued snoring away, not waking up for anything.

"I don't even know if you're alive half the time." He mumbled, closing his eyes and sitting back down on his bed.

He decided to let you sleep anyways since the road ahead was a long one with no place to really stop and sleep.

"Thank you for the room!" The three of you shouted, quickly rushing out of the inn, to the elevator.

Verr Goldet waved you off, before going back to whatever paperwork she had to get done.

"How far is Liyue Harbor?" Paimon asked, floating beside the two of you.

"From here... it could be a couple hours of walking." You replied, looking at a map of your own.

"Paimon is tired already thinking about it!"

You and Aether deadpanned before turning back to each other, talking again.

"The beds were pretty comfy. The food was also great! I'd say we could probably head back there when we need somewhere to stay." He smiled, remembering he great experience.

"Yeah, it wasn't bad at all! Just... a little creepy I suppose?" You added, shuddering.

"Creepy? What makes you say that? Don't tell us... You saw a g-ghoST?!" Paimon screeched, freaked out.

"No, no silly! I just... felt like I was being watched I guess. The place felt off, but maybe it was just... I dunno!" You shrugged, brushing it off.

"Well.. that's weird. Maybe it's because we aren't used to Liyue yet!" Aether exclaimed, a smile on his face.

"That's true.. Well, we aren't there anymore so there's no need to dwell on it! Liyue Harbor and Rex Lapis, here we come!" You shouted, throwing a fist in the air.

Aether did the same, and Paimon bounced around happily, giggling.

With that, the three of you headed through the plains with a faster pace than previously.

Your weapon disappeared into the air as you were finished with it, same for Aether. A group of hilichurls had began following you after an attempt to sneak by, so the two of you dealt with them. Nothing different than the usual.

Aether wiped a little bit of sweat off his forehead.

"That was a pretty big group, huh?" He mumbled.

"It was bigger than usual.. Well, I guess we should keep going, Liyue Harbor is just over these stairs!" You replied with a determined smile.

"Right. Hopefully Liyue's archon won't be hard to find." Aether added on, walking up to you.

"I doubt it'll be too hard. As long as we don't give ego, we'll find him and Lumine!"

Aether nodded, and Paimon came to put a hand on his shoulder with a smile on her face as well.

"Let's go, Paimon's hungry and we have an archon to look for... but we need to go faster because Paimon's hungry!"

"Hey, don't feel too down, alright?" The young, blue haired adeptus spoke.

You sighed, taking a second to figure out what you would respond with.

"I know.. It's just.. Why her? What will everyone do without her?"

Ganyu placed a hand on your shoulder, sitting next to you.

"Well think of it like this.. Everyone else feels this way too. But don't forget, Rex Lapis is still here for us! He out of anyone else would understand, since he was also close with her. Why not talk to him?" She offered.

"I suppose you're right.. I could go see him, but isn't he busy now.. or even resting, perhaps?" You mumbled.

"He would make time for you, I'm sure.. Go find out!" She cheered.

"Alright, I'll try.. Thank you, Ganyu!" You gave her a smile to keep her from worrying.

She nodded, telling you she had to go back to Cloud Retainer so she wouldn't worry. Soon after she left, you did as well.

"Hello..?" You called out quietly.

No response.

You figured he'd be doing something anyways. It didn't matter as you didn't mind being alone, so you climbed onto a boulder close by, looking over towards the harbor.

Just as you relaxed, you were frightened by a voice.

"Young (Y/n)? Is there an emergency?" The archons voice, obviously worried, questioned from behind.

He noticed you jump out of fear, quickly letting out an apology. You then explained what was happening, and how Ganyu suggested you find him.

"I see.. So you aren't feeling well?" quietly asked, slowly walking next to the boulder you sat on.

"I suppose so.. I don't really enjoy talking about it, but Ganyu thought it would be best to seek you out." You replied, looking up to the taller man beside you.

"Well, Ganyu would be correct. I understand the way you're feeling, but we can't let that stop us, right?"

You turned your gaze from him, instead towards where Guizhong and those who followed her used to reside. After a small sigh, you replied.

"That's right. Guizhong would've loved a peaceful Liyue.. We can't give up, so if she ever comes back she'll be able to see it for herself."

"Exactly." He said with a small smile, patting your head.

"Now, I must go meet with Moon Carver and Cloud retainer. They don't seem to be the most fond of mortals, but I would like you to accompany if you are comfortable enough to." He added, waiting for a response.

You thought for a moment. As he said, the other adepti, excluding Ganyu and Yanfei, may not be the biggest fans of those unlike them. However, Rex Lapis himself had no such feeling. His presence was a calming one.

"Sure, I would love to accompany you. Thank you for the offer, as well as bringing me along." You quickly thanked him, hopping off the boulder.

"Well then, I suppose we should be off." He chuckled.
