15 - Nightmare

Author's POV:

The nightmare.

Brayden would often get the same nightmare. His childhood was very disturbing for him. His bastard dad, he lost his mom and his sister....was sold.

He didn't know where she was. He went with his aunt and uncle to search all the orphanages. They found her. But before they could get her back...She was sold. He couldn't get any details about the buyer. He just hoped that she is in safe hands.

Back to the present.

He went with his aunt and uncle. They were his new parents. He still didn't remember his sister's face cuz he was 7 years old at that time and his sister was 5 years old. Her name was....

Amelia Johnson.

Brayden couldn't share his past with anyone. He was a total different person in front of his friends. But Lia knew he had a deep past and he is sad. She didn't want to invade his privacy and ask him questions. She just wanted to hear from him when he is comfortable with it. Brayden couldn't keep this pain in his heart. He missed his mom and sister. His aunt never failed to make him happy. From past 4 years, his uncle stays in Japan for work. He comes once in a year to meet them or...once in 2 years.

Will Brayden ever share his secret with anyone?

Brayden's POV :

Again nightmare.

I was now on my bed lying. It was 6 in the morning and I have to get ready for college. Lia will be up by now. She can make me feel better.

I wasted no time and grabbed my phone from the nightstand.

I texted and soon she replied. A smile crept on my face. She makes me happy. My life. I was so sad and panicked right now but her small 'good morning' made my day.

I got up from my bed happily and went to do my morning routine.

Lia's POV:

He texted me early in the morning.

The way he texted 'love' made butterflies dance in my stomach.

I instantly replied him and went to do my morning routine.

After doing my routine I sat on the chair in front of my parents.

"Someone's in a happy mood" Aaron came from his bedroom and sat beside me.

"Yeah Lia. From when I'm watching you, your smile isn't leaving your face. What happened? Share the goodie with us too" Mom said while serving pancakes on our plates.

"Umm well. I am happy cuz....It's college" I said and started to stuff the pancakes in my mouth while moaning a bit because of the tasty pancakes. Mom is the best when it comes to pancakes.

I couldn't tell that 'I got a text message from my boyfriend early in the morning, where he said love which made my heart flutter'.

"Youuu....And....happy for college?" Aaron said while he choked on pancakes. Dad gave him water while I shook my head.

"Did you hit your head somewhere child?" Dad asked while patting Aaron's back.

"No! Why are y'all looking at me like I said something illegal. Can't I be a happy kid to go to college? Stop acting weird" I said while giving them glares.

"The one who is acting weird is you. And first of all, You are not a damn kid. You are a grown ass clumsy girl." Aaron said while smirking a bit.

Stop going on my clumsiness!

I admit...Yes I am a little clumsy. A little.

I was going to snap back at him but mom interrupted.

"Okay okay kids. Stop fighting now. Eat fast and don't get late for college."

Aaron had no football practice so he was going with me now.

How I wished I would be going to college with Brayden...But no...My brother was there to ruin it. If I would've told him that I want to be alone, he would purposely come with me while sticking to me like glue.

Annoying ass brother.

Siblings are meant for that. *sigh*

"Let's go Little sis" Aaron said while smirking.

Can I just punch him?

"Stop calling me little sis. I am not little" I said while giving his arm a smack.

"Ouch. Whatever. You are little for me" He said and took my bag and ran away out of the house.

"Yah! Give my bag back" I argued back and went behind him and caught him with his collar. I took my bag back and we started walking.

"These kids" I heard my parents saying and I could see them shaking their heads on our behavior.

We were walking while we heard...

"Hello guys!"
