~Unexpected Love~

16 - Dad?

We met Brayden on our way to college. We three went to college together.

"Hi Lia" Amy met us near the lockers. "Hi Amy, wassup?" I said while taking my books from the locker. Aaron saw her and went to hug. These lovey dovey couples.

"Umm...Li and Bray, we'll be going to the class together. See y'all in the break" Amy said while they both left. Me and Brayden were alone. This was the first day after the 'amusement park'.

"Hi love." Brayden said while back hugging me.

"Hi Brayden." He was so close. I love back hugs.

"Don't you miss our regular fights?" He asked while I chuckled.
"Yeah yeah. I miss it. But we were enemies back then." I said while shutting my locker.

We heard whispers around us. It was expected. We were known as the 'best enemies' and now we'll be known as the 'best couple'.

We both went to the class hand in hand.

"So class...It's been a long time since the parents meeting. I am going to keep a parent teacher meeting on this Saturday. Please bring your parents" Mrs. Flores, our class teacher said.

Okay, so, another complain. 'Low grades, study hard, whatever sh*t'
I study very hard and try my best but...

"And Mr. Johnson" Mrs. Flores said sternly to Brayden. I saw Brayden on my side, he was clenching his jaw and looked angry and....sad?

Why?

Brayden's POV:

Not again.

I hate parent teacher meetings. I don't have parents whom I can bring. I have an aunt, and uncle is always out. Whenever i hear this, I get angry and all the memories of my mom and my bastard dad flashes.

I hate it.

"And Mr. Johnson" Mrs. Flores said sternly.

"Your parents didn't visit me last time, I hope they will come this time. I don't want any excuses." Mrs. Flores said.

"I can't bring them" I said while gritting my teeth. I couldn't control myself.

"And may I know the reason?" Mrs. Flores said. She knew she lost this.

"No" I said and made my way out of the class, ignoring the teacher and whole classes stares. I saw Lia looking at me worriedly.

I'm sorry baby.

I went out of the class.

Lia's POV:

Why is Brayden behaving like this?

I don't know about his family. He never spoke about it. No one knows he has an aunt, only I know. Why has he kept it as a secret?

I am so worried about him.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Flores, I need to go" I said quickly and followed him.

I heard Mrs. Flores sigh.

I can't find him. I was walking through the corridors, and...

I saw him. I was happy that I finally found him. I was going to him but suddenly a man in his 50s approached Brayden.

Brayden saw him and froze. I quickly hid behind a pillar, watching them secretly.

"Long time no see, son" The man said.

Son?

"D-dad?" Brayden said with a shocked face and he was......angry?

Dad?
