Anniversary

Today is my 1 year anniversary with Buck, time flies pretty damn fast. We had made plans to go to a fancy restaurant later tonight, today Buck was working but I wasn't, so Maddie and I made plans and went to the mall

I wanted to find a dress for tonight but I wasn't sure of what color or length or anything like that. But luckily we had a great time and both of us found a few things

"How bout pink?" Maddie asks

I shake my head "I've got too many pinks, I wanna go for something new here.." It was silent for a minute until I heard Maddie say "Red?" She motions to a store with a beautiful red dress in the window that wraps around your waist.

I smiled wide when I saw it, "That's the one!" And we went off

I got home about 3 hours before Buck was supposed to come home, which gave me some time to eat, shower, blowdry my hair and begin getting ready.

When I was done eating I texted Buck asking if he would be on his way home soon, he just left me on read so I assumed he must've been busy.

I played with Chloe for a bit and then went to take a shower, washing my hair and then went to blowdry it. I clipped my hair up and began doing my makeup, I did a beautiful eyeshadow look and got to use my new fenty beauty lip gloss

When I was done with my face and setting it I plugged in my curling wand and began sectioning my hair, I did a few curls and turned it into a half up half down style.

Once I put on my dress, perfume and shoes I was pretty satisfied with the way I looked

When I finished putting away my makeup and hair tools I hear my phone buzz with a text

Buckaroo🤤💕: Hey babe change of plans, can you come by the firestation real quick before we go?

Me: Okay baby I'll be on my way soon

I gave Chloe some fresh water and food before leaving, of course it felt weird pulling up to the firestation looking the way I did, but who knows what Buck wants

I just hope he doesn't try anything funny like to scare me or embarrass me. Once I got there I saw everyone inside looking like they were waiting for me except Buck, "Hi everyone!"

"Hi Shayla" Hen says, "You look beautiful " Bobby said, "Thank you" I said with a smile before I noticed they were each holding a pink rose and they all handed me.

"What's all this?" I ask confused, "where's Buck?"

"Just a bit of everything " Chimney said, "Someone's waiting for you up the stairs." Eddie told me, I'm super confused, so I just go up the stairs and I hear really quiet music as I'm going up

Suddenly I see fairy lights, candles on the table and rose petals on the floor, I was mesmerized by the scenery before I saw Buck, looking more handsome than ever with his beautiful hair and shirt.

"Buck?"

"Hello beautiful " he walks closer to me and kissed my lips, "Happy anniversary babe." He handed me another beautiful pink rose, I smile "Buck..what is all this?" I was astounded and didn't know what to say, why would he go so over the top for our 1 year?

He takes my hand and leads me towards the middle of the balcony, "Shayla you have made me the happiest man on earth in just 365 days..." he caresses my hand and looked deep into my eyes, his blue eyes had me weak in my knees

"...and I wanna be that lucky man for the rest of my life." I watched him get down on one knee, I felt my heart beat faster and my eyes well up with tears, could this be??

Buck pulled out a beautiful ring "Shayla Florencia Perez...will you marry me?"

I smiled widely and felt a tear fall from my eye, "YES!"

"SHE SAID YES!!"

I hear everyone cheer from below the balcony as Buck picked me up and spinned me around, kissing my lips, and sliding the ring onto my finger

"Evan Buckley, you've made me the happiest and luckiest girl in the world. What did I ever do to deserve you??"

He looked into my eyes and smiled, then placed another kiss on my lips, "I could say the same about you." He pulled me in for another long kiss, this was such a magical night..

The night went on as Buck and I celebrated our engagement with our work family, then of course, he kept his promise by taking me to the restaurant with amazing food and scenery.

It was such a beautiful night filled with euphoria, love, and pure bliss.
