"Hold still honey there's still some gum left in your hair." I groaned when I saw a big chunk of my hair fall to the floor. At this rate I'll be bald by the time I'm 10."Maybe if you told me who is picking on you at school cutting gum from your hair wouldn't be a daily Mother Daughter bonding activity"
"No one's picking on me Mom I just fell into the vending machine and landed on a pack of gum" I mentally did a happy dance because I was dying to use that lie for weeks which is pretty impressive for a 7 year old to come up with.
"Sweetie I know God somehow confused your left with your right foot which explains why you can't even stand straight for couple minutes without falling but I really think there's more to this than you are letting on." I let out a defeated sigh. I should've known that she wouldn't believe me but I still had to try. There is no way I could tell my mom that her precious Godson is the reason why I came home smelling like I was cuddling a skunk and half my head is covered in gum.
" Seriously Mom its nothing, like you said I'm clumsy so I don't see how me tripping over things should come as a shock to you" She didn't say a word after I spoke she just sat there searching my face for any sign that I was lying but I gave nothing away.
She finally gave up and sent me to my room to do my homework. I hate lying to my Mom but at this point lying is the only way for me to make sure no one but me have the chance to pay him back for what he did to me today. Besides with what I have planned for him tomorrow the less she knows the better because those cop interviews can be pretty intense. An evil grin spread across my face as I thought of another part of my plan. I hope he likes frog legs
