We woke up the next morning by his alarm as it was 5 AM, I suddenly realize Tom's leaving today. I got out of bed and got ready as Tom did too.

(Glasses optional) I decided to not wear makeup as I was just too upset to. Tessa came and gave me her love to cheer me up as I helped Tom put his bags in the back of the car. I was sat in the front seat and Tessa was between my legs on the floor. Tom got in as he held my hand the whole ride, "Hey, don't worry okay it's 4 months and we'll be able to go back to normal." Tom stops at the red light and turns to me. "Baby, it's 4 months.. I can't even last an hour without you." I say as he makes a turn into the airport.
We see our families already there, we both get out of the car and I keep Tessa on a leash. "Sweetie, it's okay.." Mom hugs me as she whispers in my ear. I give her a weak smile as we all walk into the airport. We still had 2 hours until his flight was going to be called, I rested my head on his shoulder as we talked a bit but it was awkward, since the morning and even now.
I didn't know what to say, but at the same time I thought maybe with Tom away I can focus a little more on myself and of course Tessa. The awkwardness went away as we talked the whole 2 hours with the family before I hear Tom's flight be called. I scrunch my face as I was devastated to hear those words, we all get up as the family hugs and say their goodbye to Tom. I walked with Tom to his flight as we stopped and faced each other.
"I guess this is goodbye.. for now." I say awkwardly looking down at my shoes, not knowing what to say.
He lifts my chin up, "Don't make this weird.. come here darling." I wrapped my legs around his waist and hugged him as I cried a bit into the side of his neck. I pulled away and passionately kissed him as the family was watching the whole thing. I got off of him as he cupped my face.
"I'll miss you, but I'll call you when I land." I nod as we both say goodbye before he walked inside, Vanessa came behind me and hugged me. "It's okay.. uh." Vanessa wasn't the best with supporting as she's more awkward than I am. I just hugged her as time went by I was driving home with Tessa.
