***HERMIONE'S POV***
I was in Diagon Alley. It was a beautiful day. I had come to get my supplies for 2nd year. I had my list in one hand and a butter beer in the other. I met up with Harry and fixed his glasses (of course). After that it was a blur up until I walked into Florrish and Botts and saw Malfoy. He was reading a book. Anyways I watched as Lockhart talked and I admired his beauty. Yes his beauty. So after Harry got free books, I walked over to Ginny and we began talking. That's when I felt a hand in my pocket. I saw Malfoy walk away quickly and took a paper out of my pocket. It was a note:

"Meet me on the train."
- D. M.

I walked through the pillar to platform 9 3/4 and waited for Harry and Ron. I waited there for ten minutes but they didn't bother to show up so I got into the train. I chose to ignore the note because it was probably a prank. I found an empty compartment and sat down. A blonde haired boy knocked on the door.

"What do you what Malfoy?"

"I just wanted to sit down in a compartment that wasn't filled but I'll find another one."

"You can come in. There's enough room for both of us." I blurted out suddenly without thinking. Maybe he forgot about the note. He nodded and entered. I say down on the seat and he say across from me. I pulled out 'Hogwarts: A History'

"Have you gotten to the part about the dungeons. It's so fascinating!" he asked

"Yes. It's so wonderful that the school is structured on the dungeons." He nodded and we continued to talk. I continued to read and saw something about a secret room.

"Look at this." I said. He got up and sat next to me to look.

"That's really cool. We need to find this room."

"We should."

"Granger?"

"Yes"

"I'm sorry about the book store. When my dad said I talked a lot about you he meant it in a good way."

"Okay?"

"Granger?"

"Yes?"

"Close your eyes." He said

"No" I responded.

"Please. Trust me. I know it sounds weird." I looked at him and he had a sincere look on his face. I nodded. I felt something touch my cheek. I opened my eyes to see malfoy's lips on my cheek. He pulled away and looked me in the eyes. I moved a little closer to him.

"I'm sorry Granger. I didn't mean to." He mumbled as he stood up and fled the compartment while I stared as the door shut behind him. My fingers made their way up to my tingling cheek.
