I drove angrily to the NYCSA headquarters. I DID what she wanted! I finally got there after showing them my ID and all that other good stuff. I walked into the auditorium feeling disgusted and annoyed. Jae was sitting down waiting for me.
"What did I do wrong!" I exclaimed. "I know it wasn't my best move, and they could have recognized me and it was foolish but what was I supposed to do! You didn't tell me it was going be in public at a shoe store, even thought I got the cutest shoes, and that it was going to be the enemies best agents Drax and Vossler!"
Jae just looked at me with a disappointed look on her face. "Veronica," She finally said, "That was your worst mission. You have two options. Either take a break, for a month or two, or work with another agent."
Both were bad. She knew I hated working with others. It's not like I don't like people. They just get in the way and if they get hurt I feel like it's my responsibility.
"Fine." I said. " Who am I working with?"
"Ethan Rhodes." she replied simply and left the 'Bubble' without another word.
GOD SHE'S TRYING TO KILL ME! I CAN'T WORK WITH ANYONE MUCH LESS HIM! That means he was promoted and he's now on the field! That's to much information for me in one day. I need to take a nap.
I walked into the office stomping over the marble eagle symbol that was on the floor. I walked up to Ethan. "Congrats, I guess we'll be seeing more of each other." I said before I stomped away to take a long nap, hoping I would never wake up.
