Nico di Angelo Attends Hogwarts

Chapter 7: Doctor's Orders

Nico awoke in a similar position as the night before, with Draco, Theo and Blaise all huddled around him once again. The only difference from the night before, was that there were some new faces too. Harry, Ron and Hermione watched him from further away, most likely to avoid Draco.

Once the boys noticed him awake, they let out relieved smiles.

"I'm getting deja vu." joked Blaise. Theo nodded dramatically in agreement.

"So what happened this time?" croaked Nico, his voice not ready to speak yet.

"Well, you just collapsed. I think it was because you don't eat enough." explained Draco with a raised eyebrow. Nico sighed, and grumbled that he did indeed, eat enough, which then started an argument between the four.

With all their loud arguing and fretting, Madam Pomfrey was notified of Nico's awakening. She hastily removed Draco, Theo and Blaise from the room, not noticing Harry, Ron and Hermione in the corner.

"I feel fine you know. There's no need to fuss." said Nico drowsily.

"You feel fine now, do you? You fainted less than three hours ago!" replied Madam Pomfrey.

"And? I've gone through worse."

"And I don't care. You will stay in bed and rest. And I'll get some food your way, seeing as you clearly need it." said Madam Pomfrey, eyeing Nico's skinny form.

"Hey! I don't need more food!" yelled Nico in protest. Madam Pomfrey raised an eyebrow.

"I don't really care what you think. Are you a doctor?"

"Well, no. But I know how to-"

"Exactly. My point. So leave the doctor things to the doctors."

"But I know how to clean wounds and care for myself appropriately." continued Nico. "And that means that I can tell when I'm fine, so I might as well go."

"Well I say that you stay here, doctors orders."

"Oh my gods, you're almost as bad as Will."

"Will?" she questioned.

"Will Sola... ehr, someone I know from home." Nico said, and Madam Pomfrey then left him alone.

Madam Pomfrey gave Nico some nectar to drink, and then forced him to rest. At some point, she noticed Harry, Ron and Hermione, and then yelled for them to leave. They did so quickly, not wanting to be under the wrath of an angry Madam Pomfrey.

Once Nico woke again, Madam Pomfrey allowed the entrance of Harry, Ron and Hermione.

"Nico!" yelled Ron when they were coming in. The trio ran to him, glad he was finally awake again.

"Nico! I saw you faint, but what truly happened?" asked Harry.

"I don't really know why I fainted, but don't worry, it's not uncommon for me to do so." replied Nico, not wanting to say what Draco thought happened to him because it would bring attention to the fact that he didn't eat enough.

"Oh. But you are feeling better, right?" asked Ron. Nico nodded in response. "Good."

"I think you fainted because you never eat." said Hermione, in a rather posh and bossy tone.

"Yeah... Draco thought the same thing." admitted Nico. Harry and Ron immediately scowled when hearing the name.

"Why do you like him, anyways?" asked Ron with a judging tone.

"He's my friend." shrugged Nico.

"And why? You see how rude he is to other people, so why do you like him?" demanded Ron.
